After the Supreme People's Procuracy approved, the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy and Smuggling implemented the decisions.

This afternoon, many police officers were present at the house of Mr. Tran Van Hiep, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee on Yersin Street, Ward 9, Da Lat City. After the police task force entered, the entrance gate of the house was locked.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the Police Department for Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling is investigating the case of Bribery, Receiving Bribes, and Abuse of Power and Position while on Duty, which occurred in Lam Dong Province and several related localities. This case is under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negligence.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, expanding the investigation of the case, it was determined that Mr. Tran Van Hiep, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, had accepted bribes related to the Dai Ninh urban commercial, tourism and ecological resort project (Lam Dong province). Mr. Tran Van Hiep's actions constituted the crime of Accepting bribes, as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 354 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017).

Currently, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling of the Ministry of Public Security is continuing to investigate and expand the case; Reviewing, seizing, and freezing the assets of the subjects, ensuring complete recovery for the State.
