Through the investigation of the reporter, in 2021, the Ia Mor irrigation project was approved to invest in the construction of 12 branch canals to serve irrigation for about 1,000 hectares of cultivated land of people in Ia Mor commune. After the project was approved, a number of households illegally built houses, planted crops and fruit trees on the planned area for the construction of canals with the purpose of receiving compensation. However, in the process of reviewing and making a list of households receiving support, the two defendants intentionally violated the law by making a list of households not eligible for land compensation and resettlement support on the list of households receiving support at the Ia Mor irrigation project, causing damage to State property and difficulties in the project implementation process.
The case is currently being further investigated by the Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Province Police.
