At the groundbreaking ceremony, delegates presented symbolic boards to support the construction of 33 Great Solidarity houses to localities allocated resources to build houses for poor households and presented symbolic boards of Great Solidarity houses to 10 poor households with special housing difficulties, each house worth 50 million VND.
The 33 Great Solidarity Houses are supported by the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, An Giang branch, together with local mobilization and family contributions with a total value of nearly 2 billion VND. The houses are expected to be completed and put into use before the Lunar New Year 2024.

The Great Solidarity House Building Support Program has helped poor households have solid, spacious houses, feel secure in working, studying, gradually stabilizing their lives, and rising out of poverty sustainably.
Previously, on November 6, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoai Son district also held a handover ceremony of 8 Great Solidarity houses to 8 poor households in 2 communes of Vinh Trach and Vinh Phu with a total value of 411 million VND.
On November 8, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - the Campaign Committee for the Fund "For the Poor" of Tinh Bien town coordinated with the Bodhidharma Association of Chau Doc city to organize the giving of gifts to households affected by storms and tornadoes in Tinh Bien town.
Specifically, 179 households in An Cu, An Phu, An Nong, Van Giao, and Tan Loi communes affected by storms were supported with cash from 500,000 VND to 2 million VND/household. Of which, 11 houses that were completely collapsed were supported with 2 million VND/household. The total cost of the donation was over 150 million VND, sponsored by the Bodhisattva Association of Chau Doc City.
