Video of the moment Russian troops fired the Grad multiple launch rocket system.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has just released a video recording the scene of Russian troops using the Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) to fire at Ukrainian military targets along the Dnipro River.
According to the video, Russian forces opened fire on the MLRS after receiving radio guidance data about the enemy target. Images recorded from the drone show that the Russian missile accurately hit the target.
The Russian Defense Ministry estimated that up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen were killed or injured in the attack and three vehicles were destroyed.
Along with air power, artillery has shown effective support and is the key to the success of Russia's military operation to prevent Ukraine's counterattack. Russia also focuses on ammunition production capacity, improving the service capacity of artillery.
Grad is a multiple rocket launcher system designed by Russian military scientists and put into service in the army in 1963. Grad weighs 13.7 tons, is 7.35m long, 2.4m wide and 3.09m high. The crew consists of 6 people. The system can move at a speed of 75 km/h on flat terrain and has an operating range of up to 750 km.
