Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper Le The Chu said the stories of overcoming difficulties and being full of determination of new students have spread positive energy, like a source of cool water for flowers to bloom on arid land. Mr. Chu mentioned Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung (Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City) who had to study and comfort her mentally ill mother at the age of 9. But she just passed the entrance exam to the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University).

That is Mai Hoang Tuyet Kieu (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) who had to mourn her parents and grandfather three times in just nine months. The three sisters were left alone in the world. Despite the help, Kieu had to work to support her younger siblings, who had just become a new student at the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City.

That is also the national female karate champion Nguyen Do Nhu Hang (Binh Thuan province). Born without knowing her father, her family was too poor so Hang devoted herself to practicing martial arts to earn money to support herself in her studies. That student from a specialized school in the coastal city of Phan Thiet has just confidently entered the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City with the determination to study so that she can take care of her grandmother and mother in the future.

Journalist Le The Chu shared that some readers said that looking at the examples of the Support to School program , they saw the future, saw hope and saw what they needed to improve themselves. “The energy from you makes philanthropists, readers near and far, and our journalism team feel that we need to act to be friends, brothers, and sisters accompanying you,” Mr. Chu said.

At 21 years old, Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Uyen has just become a freshman at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry. Uyen said she used to feel self-conscious when her friends teased her because her parents were both visually impaired. But when she overcame that, she felt proud and more confident because even though her parents were disabled, they raised her to adulthood.

Uyen went to school but was so poor that she had to quit and work as a delivery girl to survive. Deciding to go back to school, Uyen had no money to pay the tuition. And the scholarship "Tiep suc den truong" came to her .

“Sitting here today means I have overcome those difficulties. My biggest wish is to finish my studies so I can take better care of my parents and then come back to help students in difficult situations like me,” Uyen said.

Le Huu Vinh (University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City) is an orphan and lives in the care of his relatives. Vinh's older sister works to support him, but his friends say she is no different from his mother. Vinh admits that he was very disappointed when he had to interrupt his studies to work. But those days helped him realize that no matter how difficult it was, he had to study to be able to write a new page in his life.

The surprise gift came when Vinh's sister was quietly brought to the ceremony and walked up from the auditorium. The two sisters hugged each other in an emotional outburst. Choking up, the sister thanked Tuoi Tre newspaper and the benefactors who helped Vinh. As a commitment, the sister said that no matter how difficult it was, she would try to take care of it, not letting Vinh interrupt his studies again.
