Khanh Thien - A bright spot in party member development work

In 2023, the Party Committee of Khanh Thien Commune (Yen Khanh) admitted 13 new Party members, exceeding the annual plan by 18%. This result was achieved thanks to the drastic participation of Party committees at all levels with solutions suitable to local conditions and practical situations.

Khanh Thien Commune Party Committee currently has 385 party members, operating in 8 residential area Party cells and 5 agency Party cells. Like many other localities, recruiting party members in Khanh Thien faces many difficulties due to lack of recruitment sources. Most young people after graduating from high school continue to study at universities, colleges, vocational schools and after graduation, they rarely return to their locality to work. In addition, a number of young people lack awareness of cultivating and practicing ethics and lifestyle, have not determined their motivation to join the Party, and have a low sense of responsibility in their work; some of the masses are union members and young people who do not have jobs locally, have to work far away, and do not participate in local union activities, making it difficult to monitor and create sources...

Comrade Nguyen The Quang, Secretary of the Khanh Thien Commune Party Committee, said: Khanh Thien always identifies the Party development work as an important task, contributing to building a strong grassroots party organization. To solve the difficulties, from the beginning of the year, the Commune Party Committee assigned the target of admitting new party members to each Party cell in conjunction with the year-end emulation assessment work. At the same time, assigning the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Party Committee members directly in charge of the Party cell, responsible for monitoring, grasping the source at the grassroots level, motivating, encouraging, and mobilizing outstanding masses to strive to be admitted to the Party. Based on reality, Khanh Thien focuses on caring for, creating sources and admitting young high school graduates who have been trained as Party members at schools; union members and association members working at companies and enterprises in the province with short-term contracts; newly recruited teachers; young Catholics, young people preparing to join the army; union members and association members participating in associations and organizations.

Along with that, the Commune Party Committee also directed Party cells, associations and unions to step up propaganda so that the masses understand the work of Party building, the honor and pride of being in the Party's ranks; propagate about exemplary Party members; share thoughts and aspirations, remove difficulties and obstacles, help union members and association members imbued with revolutionary ideals, political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, thereby voluntarily striving to strive. Party cells are also ready to create conditions for the masses to demonstrate their own abilities and stick with the movement, creating an important motivation to strive to become Party members.

Reality shows that, despite many difficulties, thanks to close attention to reality, high determination, and focused propaganda and mobilization work, since the beginning of the term, the Commune Party Committee has always exceeded its annual plan for developing Party members. In 2023 alone, the Commune Party Committee admitted 13 Party members, including one Catholic Party member, three Party members preparing to join the army, and nine Youth Union members and members of associations and organizations.

Comrade Nguyen The Quang, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, shared: Not only the quantity but also the quality of newly admitted party members is always a focus of the Party Committee. The newly admitted party members all meet the prescribed standards; many have graduated from vocational schools, are demobilized soldiers returning to their localities. After being admitted, party members are aware of the Party, have innovative thinking, have capacity, qualifications, and enthusiasm, so the quality of party cell activities is improved.

With that result, Khanh Thien has become one of the bright spots in the work of creating sources and developing party members in Yen Khanh district.

In 2024, Khanh Thien Commune Party Committee set a target of admitting 11 new Party members. Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Commune Party Committee will continue to closely follow the Action Program of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to implement Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Strengthening and consolidating grassroots Party organizations and improving the quality of Party members in the new period" and effectively implementing solutions on Party member development. Continue to direct Party cells, associations and unions to promote propaganda and education work to raise awareness among the masses, thereby having the right motivation to strive to join the Party. Thereby, adding new forces to the Party, contributing to building and consolidating a strong political system from the grassroots.
