Inauguration of "National Flag Street", awarding scholarships to poor students in Dong Nai

(NLDO)-The Lao Dong Newspaper coordinated to inaugurate the "National Flag Road" and award 40 scholarships to poor students in Dong Nai.

On December 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province; Bien Hoa City People's Committee and Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper jointly organized the inauguration ceremony of the "National Flag Road" project in Tan Hanh ward and awarded "Scholarships to support ethnic minority and poor students" to students in Dong Nai province.

At the ceremony, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper presented 1,100 national flags out of a total of 10,000 flags that the Newspaper presented to Dong Nai province on the occasion of the launch of the Southeast Representative Office of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper in October 2023.

Mr. Bui Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, said that the "National Flag Road" project of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper and the donation of 1,100 flags to Bien Hoa City People's Committee is a very meaningful activity to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, the "National Flag Street" project also contributes to creating a solemn appearance, bringing aesthetic beauty, thereby arousing patriotism, encouraging the spirit of solidarity to build Tan Hanh ward (Bien Hoa city) to be more and more prosperous and beautiful.

Through this activity, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism suggested that the locality continue to strengthen propaganda work to enhance national pride, patriotic traditions, and sense of responsibility of each citizen; educate generations, especially the young generation today and tomorrow, to better understand the profound and sacred meaning of the national flag. Regularly check and promptly replace faded or damaged flags to ensure solemnity and aesthetics; continue to research and replicate the model of "National Flag Road" in the locality in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Head of Events and Brand Development Department of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, said that up to now, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has awarded and signed contracts to award 2,135,320 flags to many provinces and cities across the country. Today, the inauguration of the "National Flag Street" on Bui Huu Nghia and Pham Van Dieu streets (Tan Hanh ward) aims to contribute to creating a solemn and beautiful appearance for local roads, and at the same time, mobilizing people to award national flags on holidays, Tet, and to celebrate major national holidays.

In addition, the Newspaper awarded 40 scholarships (VND 2 million/scholarship) from the program "Scholarships to support ethnic minority and poor students" received and managed by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper for students in Dong Nai province. These scholarships are among the 50 scholarships awarded by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to Dong Nai province on the occasion of the launch of the Newspaper's Southeast Regional Representative Office in October 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Tam, a resident of Ward 1 (Tan Hanh Ward), shared that the "National Flag Street" project inaugurated today not only creates its own beauty, demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and determination to build a clean, beautiful and civilized urban area, but also has a particularly important meaning, contributing to the propaganda and education of cadres, union members, youth and people to understand the sacred value and be more proud of the national flag.

"Through this activity, I believe that all local people will respond and simultaneously deploy flag routes on roads leading to residential areas, creating a mark on national holidays. As one of 40 students receiving scholarships from the "Scholarship to support ethnic minority and poor students" program, Hoang Hoai Nuong (born in 2007, Vinh Cuu High School) was moved: I am very happy to receive this scholarship, because this is a meaningful spiritual and material gift that helps me overcome difficulties to excel in my studies and become a citizen of public service for society. "I would like to thank the extremely meaningful program, the practical support for difficult circumstances like mine" - Nuong said.
