Last year, Khanh Linh seemed quite quiet?

- In the past 3 years, many things have happened to my family. First, my father passed away, then my brother passed away, and my mother got sick. I think I need to look back and calm down in life, to focus more time on my family.

Moreover, in the past 2 years, there have been many game shows and music live shows. At this time, people will focus more on new people. I think, like some other colleagues, I will have my own quiet moments.

However, that doesn't mean I don't do anything. For example, last year, I also tried to do what I wanted and liked, such as building my personal YouTube channel.

Instead of before, I just sat and waited for someone to invite me to sing or give me a song to sing, now, I can completely take the initiative in everything in life.

Used to be a famous name in Sao Mai contest with Tung Duong and Ngoc Khue. But now, only Tung Duong is breaking through, while you and Ngoc Khue are not really outstanding?

- This belongs to my personality and the path I choose. For example, Ngoc Khue always shows everyone something very unique, Tung Duong rushes forward like a general, always choosing a very bright halo.

I like to be gentle, look from afar and want to do something that suits me. It's not that I don't break out, actually a lot. For example, the last 6 albums, none of my albums are the same, it's not an easy process.

Besides that, I also do things that are on the top of music like musicals and other things. I contribute but not in a flashy, outstanding way.

However, do you feel regretful because Khanh Linh deserves to achieve a higher position than she does now when she was born into a family with an artistic tradition, has a good singing voice and a very civilized musical path?

- Everything is a law of development. I admit that I am the type of singer who does not follow the tastes of the majority. Family tradition also does not allow me to use every means to become famous. But I am satisfied and have no regrets.

I don't ask for much myself, I just want everything to be worthy of my efforts. I also never compare myself with the hot guys today because each person has their own position.

I don't need the crowd effect because it's just temporary. Now, I don't seek much about fame, I just know that as long as I sing, I will sing well.

In the live concert "Sol Dream", "Afternoon Dream" will become very special.

Returning to Giang Son's upcoming live concert "Sol's Dream", many people are curious about what songs Khanh Linh will sing? It's been a long time since you sang in a live show, do you have any preparations or pressure?

- Actually, I don't feel any pressure. To me, an artist's live show is very special, because it is the crystallization of a process of dedication and a lot of brainpower they have put in.

Giang Son is a person with a whole treasure of music. I think in this new era, it is very rare to have a female musician who owns so many good works.

In Giang Son's upcoming live show, I will sing songs that I have almost never sung before and that people rarely hear, such as: Late Sun, Blinking Day... That is something special that I really like, and it is also a trust that Giang Son has in me, wanting me to sing.

That also helps me discover more about my musicians, they have many hidden corners, many perspectives. I will also overcome my familiarity to find newer things. I think, all artists or singers in particular want to perform new works.

What do you think when the audience or many people expect that singer Khanh Linh will also be the soul of "Midday Dream"?

- Actually, everyone will welcome the live show Sol Dream with many different tones, which is a huge mark for Khanh Linh as well as for Ms. Giang Son.

From the first collaboration in 2005 until now, it has been 20 years, for the past 20 years, I have sung Midday Dream almost every day. The song has become my flesh and blood. However, that does not mean I feel it is too familiar.

Every time I sing this song, I love it more and more, every time I sing it, I gain more experiences in life. For 20 years, when I sing, I bring my personal thoughts and feelings into my work.

But above all, I still want to keep the soul and spirit of the song more. In this live show, Midday Dream will become very special.

I am also waiting for the new arrangement and arrangement by musician Luu Ha An - the program's music director.

After 20 years, having experienced many ups and downs in life, and a broken marriage, do you think the way you express "Midday Dream" is different?

- Mr. Nguyen Vinh Tien (musician Nguyen Vinh Tien - PV) is the one who wrote the lyrics of this song. He is a poet, everyone who listens will see his metaphorical way of using words and images.

The Midday Dream is a dream about a girl's happiness. The lyrics "Is it the horizon or the rain at the end of the sky?" are the rhetorical question that the girl herself expresses her thoughts: "Will I be happy?". That is also something that no one can predict.

Khanh Linh, 20 years ago or now, is still a person who lives in the present and does not know what her future will be like. Therefore, I always sing with the mindset of someone who has to find the question of where their happiness is.

Sometimes, at this time, Noon Dream will be a Khanh Linh who has understood more things but is still surprised by what she did not know before.

From the music to the lyrics, Midday Dream carries us away like a wind, taking us anywhere.

What do you expect from musician Giang Son's live show this time?

- I think this will be the live show that brings the most happiness to Giang Son. Artists like Linh and the brothers and sisters participating in the live show will be the ones who bring many emotions to Son.

There are things that Ms. Son never imagined that she would have such a colorful picture.

The characters participating, each has their own personality, advantages, and strengths. Such strong personalities, contrasting colors but entering the same live show will be a very interesting point.

- Midday Dream has given me a name that is attached to me. I am extremely grateful to musician Giang Son and grateful to this work.

Because this is a mark, another hit of Khanh Linh after Co Tam today, Nightingale sings in the rain. Even though I put new songs, new works in my albums, people still always say: "Linh, sing Giac mo nao!" , "Linh, sing Nightingale sings in the rain !"... I think, this is what I enjoy and benefit the most from the work.

What plans or projects do you have this year?

- This year I have at least 2 new songs to bring to the audience. In addition, I continue to develop my YouTube channel so that the audience can see me more often and not have to ask "Long time no see Linh?" or "Where is Linh?" anymore.

I feel very happy and enjoy giving the audience the most simple and sincere thing. It is my simple, unadorned voice along with a guitar or a piano.

In the future, do you intend to change or want to collaborate with young Gen Z artists to renew yourself ?

- I really want to but I don't know if they want to (laughs). At that time, we will see if they want to sing with Linh, who is a bit older. We will answer with a piece.

Everyone is also curious about your private life recently, can you share?

- My family is still very happy after 10 years of being together. Last Tet, my family and I went on a spring trip to Hoi An and lived like a local. We leisurely walked, cooked rice... lived like locals, not tourists anymore.

My children are also very excited to join us. I think that such trips are a way to help me and my children connect with each other. My children's worldview will be more open, as will my own. I have more life experiences and see more beauty in life.
