According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, “Family Medicine Bags” with essential medicines such as fever reducers, stomachache, diarrhea, allergies, skin antiseptics, personal bandages, etc. are being quickly sent to people severely affected by storm No. 3. This is truly a very practical activity at the present time.

In addition to responding to the campaign to support people affected by storm No. 3 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, on September 12, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also organized a meeting and discussed with leaders of affiliated hospitals and agreed on practical activities to share and support the health care of the northern provinces that are being heavily affected.

Specifically, with the “Family Medicine Bag”, the Department of Health’s Expert Council met to agree and come up with a list of necessary medicines to help people isolated by floods take care of their own health, both adults and children, with detailed instructions for use to ensure safety and effectiveness.

For initial medical examination and treatment in the community, the Department of Health assigned general and specialized hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City to "pair" with district hospitals to prepare human resources to support community health work when flood waters recede and when receiving requests for human resources support for specific tasks from the Department of Health of the Northern provinces and cities or requests from the Ministry of Health.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also requires general and specialized hospitals in the area to be ready with specialized human resources to support district and provincial hospitals in medical examination and treatment at the hospital when receiving requests from the Department of Health of the Northern provinces and cities or requests from the Ministry of Health.
