That was the direction of the Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong at the working session with sectors, localities and the joint venture of investors of the Hai Lang LNG project phase 1 on the implementation procedures and local adjustments to the Master Plan for the construction of the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone this afternoon, July 2.

Reporting at the working session, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board said that on June 25, 2024, the unit proactively registered to work with the Department of Architectural Planning - Ministry of Construction to report and ask for preliminary opinions on some contents of the Local Planning Adjustment.
Based on some guidance from the Department of Architectural Planning, the Committee proposed to discuss some contents on local adjustments to the General Construction Plan of the Southeast Economic Zone for analysis, review and evaluation, specifically: Adjusting the land area of 155 hectares from the planning of oil and gas warehouses to the planning of oil, gas and post-gas industry (belonging to the energy complex).
Adjust the planned route 6-6, 25 m wide, 1.34 km long, about 112 m northwest and adjust the technical infrastructure system according to the new location of the adjusted route.
Adjust and supplement technical infrastructure routes connecting from the oil, gas and post-gas industrial planning area (belonging to the energy complex) to the East Sea area (border of the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone). Adjust and supplement the 500KV power line connecting from the Quang Tri power center to the energy complex.
Representatives of departments, branches and localities gave their opinions on procedures for the Hai Lang LNG Project Phase 1 such as: adjusting zoning plans, adjusting investment policies, adjusting detailed plans, feasibility study reports, site clearance work...
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized that the Hai Lang LNG project phase 1 must be put into operation before 2029, therefore, departments, branches, localities and investors need to speed up the implementation of legal procedures to ensure implementation progress.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the policy of partial adjustment of the General Planning for the Construction of the Southeast Economic Zone, noting that it is necessary to urgently adjust the 1/500 planning and adjust the investment policy to meet the next procedures and approve the project's feasibility study report, requiring these contents to be completed before August 30.
At the same time, relevant departments and branches are required to continue reviewing procedures for handing over forest land and mineral land to hand over the site to investors. The Provincial Economic Zone Management Board is the focal point, responsible for coordinating with units, localities and investors to complete procedures to implement the project to ensure the set progress.
