According to information from Quang Tri General Hospital, since the Lunar New Year of At Ty - 2025, the hospital is facing a shortage of blood for emergency care due to the sudden increase in the number of patients. The blood supply from the Central Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center is currently not enough to meet the needs of emergency care and treatment for patients at the hospital. Therefore, the hospital has been and is continuing to call on all officials, employees of the Provincial General Hospital and people to actively participate in voluntary blood donation to save lives.
It is known that right after the end of the Lunar New Year holiday, on February 6, the Provincial General Hospital coordinated with the Health Sector Trade Union and the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Club to organize an emergency voluntary blood donation program to provide emergency treatment for patients and promptly supplemented 67 units of whole blood.

Previously, on January 28 (December 29), the Provincial General Hospital also coordinated with the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Club to organize an emergency blood donation program, blood type A and blood type O to promptly respond to the increase in emergency cases during the Lunar New Year and received a total of 56 units of blood.
Specialist Doctor I Bui Ngoc Hoang - Department of Hematology - Blood Transfusion, Provincial General Hospital said that in the coming time, the hospital will continue to call and hope that every healthy person will actively participate in donating blood to have enough blood reserves needed to promptly treat patients. On February 11, the Provincial General Hospital organized a voluntary blood donation program at the hospital.
