On the morning of August 10, at the Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) in collaboration with the Tam Long Viet Fund - Vietnam Television (VTV) and Hanoi Heart Hospital organized a free screening program for children under 18 years old to detect congenital heart disease. Attending the program was Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

Since 2008, Viettel has cooperated with the Vietnamese Heart Fund - Vietnam Television to organize a humanitarian heart surgery program called "Heart for Children". In 15 years of operation, the program has reached Phu Tho children 3 times in 2017, 2020 and 2022. The program was coordinated with the provincial health sector to organize free screening for more than 10,000 children and detected diseases for more than 100 children.

From 2022 to now, the agencies have verified records and performed surgery on 44 children with a cost of over 1.426 billion VND (an average of 32 million VND/child). In 2024, the program will be implemented on August 10 and 11 at the Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital and Cam Khe District Medical Center. After screening, cases with indications for intervention/surgery and difficult circumstances will be guided by the program to prepare records for treatment with a maximum support level of 63 million VND/child.

Speaking at the program, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen emphasized: This is a meaningful and humane program founded and operated by Viettel Group and the Vietnamese Heart Fund - Vietnam Television. At the same time, she thanked the leadership of Viettel Group, the Vietnamese Heart Fund - Vietnam Television, the medical staff of Hanoi Heart Hospital, the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and Cam Khe District Medical Center for directly participating in the program. With their hearts and noble medical ethics, the doctors have been attached to the program "Heart for Children" over the years. She hoped that organizations and unions would pay more love and attention to social security activities in the province in the coming years.
The program is scheduled to be held on August 10 and 11 at the Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital and Cam Khe District Medical Center.
