Chhay dam drum dance, pentatonic music or vegetarian cuisine – these are the cultural heritages typical of Tay Ninh that you should not miss when coming to Ba Den mountain this spring.

The most typical national intangible cultural heritage performed at Ba Den Mountain is the Chhay Dam drum dance - a performance art that is especially important to the Khmer people, requiring harmony between the movements, both graceful and powerful, with the bustling sounds of the drums. During Tet and the harvest season, the Khmer people use this drum sound to celebrate in the villages and hamlets.

Along with Chhay Dam drum dance, pentatonic music is also a unique intangible cultural heritage of the Khmer people. According to folk tradition, this musical instrument will bring luck to the people, and is also a good wish on the first day of the new year.

In particular, when coming to the pilgrimage land of Ba Den Mountain at the beginning of the year, visitors cannot miss the Tay Ninh vegetarian cuisine which has been formed for a long time, where Cao Dai followers have the habit of eating vegetarian meals (10 days a month). Besides vegetarian cuisine, Ba Den Mountain also has many delicious culinary options such as pho, banh canh, pizza, sweet soup, Ba Den ice cream and buffet restaurants with all kinds of European and Asian cuisine.
