Opening of the 16th National Radio Festival Preliminary Round

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee, National Assembly delegate, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Chairman of the 16th National Radio Festival - 2024; Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province; Nong Thi Bich Hue, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Culture - Social Department of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province; Tran Minh Hung, Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 16th National Radio Festival - 2024; representatives of Radio and Television Stations nationwide and units of the Voice of Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Minh Hung, Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 16th National Radio Festival - 2024, said that the 16th National Radio Festival - 2024 with the theme "Diversified Vietnamese Radio in Digital Transformation" attracted 81 participating units with 380 works from 63 Radio and Television Stations in provinces and cities across the country and 16 units of the Voice of Vietnam and 2 units of the People's Public Security Communications Department and the Military Television Center.

Organizing the Preliminary Round in Tuyen Quang is an opportunity for radio journalists nationwide to return to the roots of the revolution, a land rich in historical and cultural traditions. During the long years of fighting against the French colonialists, the Voice of Vietnam was stationed in Cong Da commune, Yen Son district and received protection and care from the people here.

He thanked Tuyen Quang province and Tuyen Quang Radio and Television for creating favorable conditions for the successful preliminary round of the 16th National Radio Festival 2024.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province Nguyen Van Son presented flowers to members of the Jury.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong warmly welcomed the leaders of Voice of Vietnam and delegates attending the Festival, and briefly introduced the province's outstanding natural, economic, social and cultural conditions.

He affirmed that this is the first time Tuyen Quang province has been chosen to host the preliminary round of the National Radio Festival with the participation of many central press agencies and Radio and Television stations of provinces and cities.

Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong spoke at the opening ceremony of the Festival.

Tuyen Quang province hopes to receive encouragement, motivation and propaganda from press agencies to realize the aspiration of making Tuyen Quang a fairly developed, comprehensive and sustainable province in the Northern mountainous region.

He believes that with the sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and creativity of the journalists, the Organizing Committee and the Jury, the Preliminary Round of the National Radio Festival in Tuyen Quang will be a great success, contributing to the overall success of the 16th National Radio Festival.

The preliminary round of the 16th National Radio Festival 2024 will take place in Tuyen Quang from May 24 to 26. The jury will select the best works in each genre to participate in the final round in Thanh Hoa province, scheduled for July 2024.
