Opening of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament Group Stage

On the evening of April 6, in Kon Tum city, the Vietnam Sports Administration coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kon Tum province and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to organize the opening ceremony of the group stage of the 2025 National A-class Volleyball Tournament.

The women's volleyball match between Thai Nguyen and Dak Lak was exciting and thrilling.

The tournament will take place from April 6 to April 20, 2025 at Kon Tum Provincial Gymnasium, Truong Chinh Street, Kon Tum City. This tournament has 28 teams from provinces, cities, industries and nearly 400 athletes participating in 2 events.

The men's volleyball event has 15 participating teams including Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Tinh, Tra Vinh, Binh Duong, Quang Nam, Dong Anh Hanoi, Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Kon Tum, Phu Tho Police, Skpearlnest Khanh Hoa, Military Region 3, Military Sports Center, Mobile Police Command and Ninh Binh Youth.

The teams are divided into 3 groups, competing in a round robin to select the 1st and 2nd place teams of each group to enter the final round; the 3 third place teams of each group will compete in a round robin to select 2 more teams to enter the final round.

The women's volleyball event has 13 participating teams including the Youth of Information Corps - Dong Bac Corporation, Ho Chi Minh City Youth, VTV Binh Dien Long An Youth, Ninh Binh Youth, Hung Yen, Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Long Television, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Dak Lak and Hai Duong.

The teams are divided into 2 groups to compete in a round robin, selecting the 4 best teams from each group to enter the final round.

The National A-Class Volleyball Tournament is one of the national sporting events held annually, gathering many quality teams from provinces, cities and sectors across the country to compete and is divided into 2 rounds: Group stage and Final round, the final results of the tournament will select the 2 best teams of the 2 men's and women's categories to compete in the National Volleyball Championship.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kon Tum province Nguyen Xuan Truyen said that the 2025 National Volleyball A Group Stage Tournament not only creates a healthy and attractive playground for athletes and coaches to learn professional experience, improve training and volleyball competition results, but also an opportunity to promote sports activities in Kon Tum province and domestic sports to develop faster, stronger, and more sustainably in implementing the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" to improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people. It is an opportunity for Kon Tum province to promote its cultural identity, people and tourist attractions to friends across the country.

A large number of spectators in Kon Tum province came to cheer for the competing teams.

After the opening ceremony, athletes from Thai Nguyen and Dak Lak women's volleyball teams competed with enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
