Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung - Director of the Investment Promotion Center of Tuyen Quang province - said: The week of trade, agricultural products, tourism , investment connecting the consumption of products of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang province in 2024 in Hai Phong city is an activity to promote investment, trade and tourism; connect product consumption, create conditions for businesses, cooperatives, production establishments between the two provinces and cities to have the opportunity to exchange and share experiences, contributing to promoting production and business and developing the market. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for products and goods of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang province to reach the majority of people in Hai Phong, especially essential products for the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty in 2025.

Tuyen Quang is a northern mountainous province, with 22 ethnic groups living together, the total population of the province is over 812,000 people, of which more than 445,000 are ethnic minorities, accounting for over 56% of the total population of the province.

In recent times, Tuyen Quang province has directed the construction and improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the grassroots political system in ethnic minority areas, effectively implementing the State's legal policies on ethnic affairs. In particular, from 2021 to present, the province has directed and implemented the national target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, with 10 projects and 14 sub-projects. The province has promoted the implementation of programs and projects on socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas. In particular, it has increased the mobilization of resources to invest in infrastructure, develop the economy and society for ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Thereby, the material and spiritual life of the people has been gradually improved, social security has been ensured; security in ethnic minority and religious areas has been maintained.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung emphasized: The week of trade, agricultural products, tourism, investment connecting consumption of products in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang province in 2024 is a series of activities responding to the development of the domestic market associated with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". Through the program, it creates a connection between investment, trade and tourism promotion activities; expands joint venture cooperation and association between Tuyen Quang province and other provinces and cities.

The 2024 Trade, Agricultural Products, Tourism, and Investment Week connecting the consumption of products from ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang province in Hai Phong will take place from December 13 to 15, 2024 with over 60 booths of 40 enterprises and cooperatives with typical products, OCOP products; handicrafts and craft villages of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in Tuyen Quang province.

The program's organizers also encourage businesses, cooperatives, and business households to organize promotions, discounts, and ensure product quality and food hygiene and safety.
