Opening of the first culinary culture festival at Hung Temple Festival 2023

On April 25, at the Hung Temple Historical Site, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho in collaboration with the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association and the Phu Tho Provincial Culinary Culture Association organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Ancestral Land Culinary Culture Festival with the theme "National Soul - Convergence of the Quintessence of the Ancestral Land".
This is the first time the Culinary Culture Festival has been held on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day to introduce and promote the unique culinary culture of the Ancestral Land, and exchange regional cuisines, contributing to spreading the value of Vietnamese culinary culture.
Delegates cut the ribbon to open the Northwest Tourism Fair and the Ancestral Land Culinary Culture Festival. The culinary festival has over 70 booths introducing the cuisine of the homeland and specialties of the three regions, typical quality OCOP products of Phu Tho province, and localities nationwide. The festival has the participation of typical Vietnamese culinary artists, the promotion of unique dishes will bring visitors an attractive experience.
At the opening ceremony, there was a Japanese - Vietnamese culinary exchange program "Honoring the cuisine of catfish of the Ancestral Land".
The culinary festival introduces to visitors regional specialties, such as red ginseng and red apple bird's nest soup by artisan Le Van Khanh; cold vermicelli with snails by artisan Nguyen Thi Hien; mixed figs with shrimp and meat by artisan Tran Thi Hong Loan; Chumonry grass-fed beef by artisan Nguyen Duc Hoang; mangosteen chicken salad by artisan Nguyen Van Thong; steamed chicken in lotus leaves by artisan Diep Chan Hung; Banh Chung Dat To by artisan Pham Xuan Hieu; fruit cakes by artisan Nguyen Ho Tieu Anh..., especially the honoring of the cuisine of the Ancestral Land with the participation of Mr. Matsuo Tomoyuki (Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Culinary Association) in combination with artisan Le Thi Thiet (Chairman of the Nam Dinh Culinary Culture Association) to exchange Japanese-Vietnamese culinary culture "Honoring the cuisine of Catfish of the Ancestral Land".
The food festival introduces many regional specialties. In particular, the area of the House introduces Vietnamese culinary culture activities, the journey to find typical Vietnamese cuisine, unique culinary works creating a colorful culinary map to attract tourists. During the event days, there are also cultural performances, unique heritage performances such as: Cultural space, kite performance, unique folk games, introducing Vietnamese cultural heritage.
Regional specialties are introduced at the food festival. Along with the 2023 Land of Ancestors Cultural and Culinary Festival, there will also be activities of the Northwest Tourism Fair event introducing tourism in 8 expanded Northwest provinces with rich tourism images, culinary products, Ocop products of the Northwest provinces and Phu Tho are promoted and introduced to visitors from all over the country attending the Hung Temple Festival.
