The 2nd “Singing Contest of Union Members, Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers of Binh Thuan Province” in 2023 officially opened on the morning of July 29 at the Provincial Federation of Labor Hall. The contest was jointly organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The contest attracted 116 contestants from 86 grassroots unions under district-level labor federations and industry-level unions.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phoi - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, acknowledged: The Organizing Committee highly appreciated the enthusiastic response of the contestants, units, especially union members and workers from remote areas, Phu Quy island district; union members and workers, regardless of age or profession, still have passion and enthusiasm for the cultural and artistic movement launched by the local union organization.

"The contest is not simply a seasonal cultural and artistic celebration activity, but I hope that it will be maintained, developed, and become an ideal "meeting place", an annual playground for union members and workers after tiring working hours, to discover and cultivate local and grassroots musical "nuclei". This will motivate the team of employees to enthusiastically work and produce, contributing positively to the development of agencies, units, businesses and Binh Thuan province".
The 2nd "Singing of Union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers of Binh Thuan province" in 2023 takes place from July 28-30, with the theme of praising the glorious Party, beloved Uncle Ho; traditional revolutionary songs, labor professions, praising the homeland of Binh Thuan, trade union organizations, love for the country, Vietnamese people,... Each contestant will sing 1 song of their choice and 1 song about Uncle Ho.
The contest is a healthy and useful playground to preserve, maintain and promote musical values, always playing a "vanguard" role on the cultural and artistic front, building cultural and spiritual life among union members and workers. Thereby, contributing to the results of performing the tasks of agencies, units and enterprises, positively impacting the construction of a healthy cultural environment, repelling negative and social evils in the lives of workers.
The contest is a practical activity for union officials, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers to make achievements to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2023). At the same time, it aims to welcome the 11th Binh Thuan Provincial Trade Union Congress, towards the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.
