This morning, July 18, at Bho Hoong cultural - tourist village, Song Kon Commune People's Committee (Dong Giang) organized the opening ceremony of the 4th Song Kon Commune Co Tu Traditional Cultural Festival - 2024, attracting the participation of many actors, artisans, and village elders from 4 villages in the commune.

Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoi - Chairman of Song Kon Commune People's Committee said that the cultural festival is an important event for local people, held periodically every 5 years, contributing to encouraging and raising people's awareness in preserving, promoting and advertising the traditional cultural identity of their nation.

Through the festival, we aim to praise the creative working spirit of the Co Tu people in their cultural and religious life; promote the spirit of community solidarity; promote compassion, the desire for freedom and happiness. At the same time, we honor the traditional cultural identity of the local people; encourage and motivate the community in the work of preserving, promoting and promoting the cultural identity of their people to tourists.

“In addition to the exhibition of rattan, bamboo and brocade weaving products, the festival also recreates traditional cultural spaces through buffalo eating festivals, tan tung and da da dances; traditional costume performances, and ly singing and speaking between villages in the commune, with the participation of hundreds of artisans and non-professional actors in the Co Tu community,” Ms. Ngoi shared.

Song Kon Commune has 759 households with nearly 3,000 people, mainly Co Tu people. With the spirit of solidarity, in recent years, in addition to promoting socio -economic development, the work of preserving traditional cultural values ​​has always been focused on and promoted, contributing to the formation of community tourism products, increasing income for local people.
