Admitting to returning to Vung Tau because of his love for this dish, the Korean guest ordered several servings to satisfy his cravings and drank iced tea "unlimitedly", praising it as both cheap and delicious.
Kyuhyun - a member of the group Super Junior, along with his manager, hair stylist and a friend, had a trip to Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) a few months ago.
The male singer said he had visited Vung Tau during a tour with the group in Ho Chi Minh City in July 2024. On that occasion, he and two other members flew to Vietnam a few days early and spent a short time experiencing the place.
Impressed with the coastal city more than 100km from Ho Chi Minh City, Kyuhyun decided to return here after only a few months and mainly spent time exploring local cuisine.
In addition to the well-known banh khot dish, the Korean male singer also revealed his love for the famous hu tieu dish in Vung Tau.
The place that Kyuhyun's group visited was a local restaurant located on Hoang Hoa Tham Street (Thang Tam Ward, Vung Tau City). The restaurant specializes in serving noodle dishes such as noodle dishes, seafood noodle dishes...
This is also the last place Kyuhyun and 2 Super Junior members had a meal before returning to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the tour in July 2024.
“This dish was so delicious that I promised myself I would come back next time. And today, I will introduce it to you,” said Kyuhyun.

At the restaurant, he ordered 2 servings of dry seafood noodles, priced at 70,000 VND/serving, and 2 servings of mixed noodles, priced at 90,000 VND/serving.
Similar to the previous time, the Korean guest continued to try the mixed noodle dish with hot broth and attractive seafood ingredients.
He also did not forget to guide his group of friends on how to enjoy Hu Tieu, and at the same time introduce the difference between wet Hu Tieu and dry Hu Tieu.
When he tasted the first spoonful of broth, Kyuhyun exclaimed because the taste was still as appealing as before.
“This broth is the best for hangovers,” said Kyuhyun.
He commented that Hu Tieu is a type of noodle with a chewy texture and a unique taste, different from the Pho they had eaten. In addition, Hu Tieu is also served with some fresh meats and seafood such as char siu, shrimp, mantis shrimp, and squid.
Because he was so impressed with this dish, he decided to introduce it to his friends and bring them here to enjoy it. “This noodle dish is really delicious. That’s why I came back and brought my friends here,” Kyuhyun shared.
Yoomin - Kyuhyun's manager also expressed his delight at the delicious taste of the dry noodles.
He praised this dish for its diverse flavors, with the sweet flavor being the most prominent. He ordered another serving of soy sauce noodles like Kyuhyun to better experience the flavors of the two different types of noodles.
Seeing his friends happily eating, Kyuhyun also suggested that they add some chili sauce to see the surprising change in the flavor of the dish.
In addition to noodles, Super Junior members also surprised people with the accompanying drink that people often order here. That is iced tea.
He commented that iced tea is not only cheap, priced at 3,000 VND/cup, but also has a unique, delicious flavor.
Because he loved this drink, in addition to the initial 3 cups, he ordered 3 more cups, surprising and delighting his group of friends.
“I don’t mind spending a lot of money on iced tea, so order three more cups to go, only 9,000 VND more (about 520 won),” the singer humorously said.
At the end of the meal, Kyuhyun paid 428,000 VND, including 3 mixed noodle dishes, 2 dried seafood noodle dishes and 6 glasses of iced tea.
“This is a dish that our whole group is satisfied with,” he said.
