International sea sports competitions have gathered athletes from many countries, creating a buzz on the world tourism map. In particular, communication work for the events will be promoted through digital channels such as fanpages, the province's official website, making the most of the power of social networks to reach tourists.
With the advantage of owning the Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water seaport, Ba Ria - Vung Tau is considered an ideal destination for international cruise ships. The province has proposed to study investment in Vung Tau international passenger port, and at the same time promote cooperation with major shipping lines such as Royal Caribbean and Costa Cruises to put the locality on the regular visiting itinerary of luxury cruise ships.
It is expected that in 2024, the province will welcome 40 more international cruise ships, with about 60,000 passengers, contributing to increasing revenue and promoting the local image.
