Currently, some areas of spring-summer eggplant in Nam Sach district (Hai Duong) are in the flowering - fruiting stage and starting to harvest. However, a certain type of microorganism has emerged and caused harm, greatly affecting the yield and quality of eggplant.

Symptoms of damage: The disease initially appears on old leaves and large leaves near the base, forming a yellow-brown color on both sides of the leaves and the fruit skin, creating rough spots that make the eggplant look bad. The disease spreads to the trunk and branches, causing the plant to appear less fresh and then dry up. Pull the plant up and observe that the roots are poorly developed. Cut across the trunk and squeeze to see if there is a slimy liquid.

Harmful object: Through external symptoms, it is very likely that a microorganism (fungus or bacteria) present in the soil or seedlings has caused harm. The object has penetrated through the roots or bark of the underground part and then destroyed the parts of the tree.

Remedy:

Temporarily stop or reduce the application of base fertilizers as planned because the plant has flowered and produced fruit, which means it is in the reproductive growth period. If there is excess nutrition, the plant will grow leaves but will produce few flowers or fruit. At the same time, you can immediately use the biological product MicroBio Au Lac, which is specialized for base fertilizer and specialized for foliar fertilizer for plants according to the instructions on the packaging. For example, divide a 100cc bottle into 2 full tanks, spray thoroughly and evenly for 1/2 sao to 10 meters of eggplant in the field. For the 500cc bottle, measure 50cc into 1 full tank and also spray 2 tanks for 1/2 sao to 10 meters of eggplant. (Note: do not mix biological products with any chemical or foliar fertilizer).

In fact, recently, some eggplant growers have applied spraying according to the above instructions and found it very effective.
