Connecting and consuming safe agricultural products in Moc Chau district

As part of the series of events of the Moc Chau District Culture and Tourism Week (Son La), the 2024 Moc Chau District Safe Agricultural Products and Trade Fair opened with hundreds of booths of typical agricultural products.

Moc Chau’s agricultural products have increasingly affirmed their position in the domestic and export markets. Products from tea, milk, vegetables and fruits, and especially organic products, are becoming the pride of the district.

The fair has 210 booths of more than 100 enterprises and cooperatives participating; including 180 commercial booths for all domestic enterprises, cooperatives, and business households and 28 booths displaying and selling agricultural products with potential and strengths of Son La province and Moc Chau district with many typical agricultural products, products with safety certification, and OCOP products.

The units brought thousands of OCOP products, typical agricultural products, vegetables, fruits, medicinal herbs, wooden products, handicrafts, consumer goods, etc. reflecting the potential, advantages, productivity, and cultural nuances of the localities. In addition to the products for direct sale, some businesses also demonstrated the product processing process. This is also an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, farmers, and traders to meet, exchange experiences, seek partners, and develop markets.

According to the People's Committee of Moc Chau District (Son La): Moc Chau's agricultural products have increasingly affirmed their position in the domestic and export markets. Products from tea, milk, vegetables and fruits, and especially organic products, are becoming the pride of the district.

The fair is organized annually by the district. This is an important trade promotion channel to promote and introduce local products, contributing to expanding the consumption market for agricultural products, improving the value and quality of life of farmers. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Moc Chau to affirm its commitment to sustainable agricultural development, ensuring food safety and moving towards green, clean production and sustainable development.

The 2024 Safe Agricultural Products Consumption and Export Fair will take place from August 30 to September 4. Through this event, producers, consumers, businesses and managers will connect, aiming for sustainable development of agricultural products on the Moc Chau plateau.
