On March 8, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced a pilot plan to organize night tourism services on Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and a pilot plan to organize Bach Dang walking street.
Nguyen Van Troi Bridge will become a night tourist destination in Da Nang.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested relevant agencies and units to focus on speeding up the implementation of the pilot plan to organize night tourism services on Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, the East bank park at the foot of Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and the pilot plan to organize Bach Dang Walking Street.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City noted the need to develop regulations and rules for the management and operation of the walking street to ensure security, order, environmental sanitation, and a civilized and polite image of tourism when it comes into operation.
At the same time, greening and landscape renovation will be carried out on vacant land west of Bach Dang Street to ensure the aesthetics of Bach Dang walking street.
Research on traffic organization and connection plan from Bach Dang walking street through Nguyen Van Troi bridge and connecting with Tran Hung Dao route.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City noted that for the time being, bicycle lanes will not be organized on Bach Dang walking street to ensure pedestrian safety, and the street will be completely closed when large gatherings take place on the street.
Implementing the repair of Bach Dang street sidewalks, investing in railings and landscape of the park on the east bank of Tran Thi Ly bridge.
Arrange bicycle lanes on Tran Hung Dao Street (from Nguyen Van Troi Bridge to Dragon Bridge) to connect cycling and walking spaces.
Research on traffic organization plan for vehicles such as bicycles and cyclos circulating on Nguyen Van Troi bridge.
Previously, the People's Committee of Da Nang City agreed on a pilot plan to organize services and serve night tourism on Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and the East bank park at the foot of Nguyen Van Troi Bridge as proposed by the city's Department of Tourism.
According to the plan, this pilot includes 2 phases. Phase 1 will be implemented in 2024. Phase 2 will be implemented from the first quarter of 2025 to the end of 2028.
In particular, Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and the East bank park at the foot of Nguyen Van Troi Bridge will host activities such as: flashmob performance, yoga festival, street art on Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, book festival, beer festival, street music, events, festivals, children's games; Fast food service, take-away drinks and souvenir products.
Organize business booths, sell souvenirs, OCOP products, mobile carts/counters serving drinks and fast food...
In addition, Bach Dang walking street will also be piloted from the first quarter of 2024 to the end of 2028 on the extended Bach Dang street, to the Duy Tan - Tran Thi Ly intersection (estimated length 1.2km) connecting with Nguyen Van Troi bridge (length 513m).
Walking street opening hours are from 3pm to 12am daily.
