Inspection conclusion: Thuyloi University enrolls master's students in some majors beyond its capacity

According to the inspection conclusion, Thuyloi University is allowed to train 41 undergraduate majors, 17 master's majors and 13 doctoral majors. The training scale of the school as of December 31, 2023 is 22,782 students, 950 trainees and 101 postgraduates.

The inspection conclusion indicated that the Department of Fluid and Gas Mechanics has been training at the doctoral level for 5 consecutive years without enrolling students. On December 5, 2022, the University of Water Resources issued a decision to stop training at the doctoral level in this field.

The school has two doctoral majors that cannot enroll students in 2022 and 2023, including environmental engineering and water supply and drainage engineering.

Regarding violations, the University of Water Resources has determined and announced the enrollment quota for master's degrees in 2022 in the fields of environmental engineering, traffic construction engineering, hydraulic construction engineering; and in 2023 in the fields of water supply and drainage engineering, construction management exceeding the prescribed capacity, violating the Government's decree on administrative sanctions in the field of education.

According to the Inspector of the Ministry of Education and Training, at the time of inspection, the statute of limitations for this violation had expired according to regulations.

Responsibility for the above violations lies with the principal, vice principal in charge of admissions and the school's admissions staff.

According to the Ministry Inspectorate, the university training regulations of the University of Water Resources issued with Decision No. 1226/QD-DHTL dated September 13, 2021 stipulate that the school's regular training hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays from Monday to Saturday, which is inconsistent with the prescribed time frame.

Responsibility belongs to the principal, vice principal in charge of training and the school's staff.
