Combining construction and opposition in propaganda on Party building

On the morning of June 26, the Central Organizing Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize an online conference to foster knowledge on Party building for leaders, reporters, and editors of news agencies and newspapers in 2024.

The great appeal of the topic of writing about Party building

Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Phan Thang An said that since 2016, the Central Organizing Committee has presided over and coordinated with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), the Vietnam Journalists Association and central press agencies such as Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, and Vietnam Television to organize the National Press Award on Party building (named the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award).

This is a press award held annually on the occasion of the Party's founding anniversary on February 3rd, attracting the attention of many cadres, reporters, editors of news agencies, newspapers and the whole society in writing and composing works on Party building.

To contribute to improving the quality of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, over the past 6 years, the Central Organizing Committee has coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize training courses on Party building for leaders, reporters and editors of news agencies and newspapers. Each conference attracted nearly 2,000 attendees.

"Thus, we can see the great appeal of the writing topic on Party building, as well as the widespread impact of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award," said the Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.

Improving the quality of press works on Party building

According to Mr. Phan Thang An, 2024 is the fourth year of implementing the resolutions of the 13th Central Committee in conjunction with completing the goals of the 13th Party Congress Resolution and the resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term.

This is also a year to actively prepare for party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Therefore, the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system faces new and higher requirements, requiring good implementation of the key tasks and solutions set forth by the 13th National Congress and the Central Party Committee Conferences.

In the context of many current difficulties and challenges, the Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee emphasized that protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting and refuting the distorted arguments of hostile forces is a very necessary task.

Thereby strengthening the people's trust and attachment to the Party, the State, and the socialist regime; actively fighting against individualism, preventing and combating corruption and negativity; and preventing, repelling, and strictly handling cadres and party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"...

This conference aims to supplement knowledge, raise awareness, update new perspectives, and issues of concern in Party building work in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and personnel, contributing to effectively propagating the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term.

The conference also aims to foster skills in selecting topics, exploiting and processing information, and imparting experiences in creating works on Party building and political system building for reporters and editors.

“We hope that through training conferences on Party building, journalists will have more knowledge and information to improve the quality of press works on Party building,” Mr. Phan Thang An shared.

- Standing Committee member, Head of the Professional Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association Do Thi Thu Hang reported on the topic Some issues on creating journalistic works in the political genre

- Deputy Director of the Center for Digital Content Production and Development, Vietnam Television, Nguyen Thu Ha, reported on the topic of Creative Skills for Radio and Television Works.

- Editor-in-Chief of Party Building Magazine, Central Organizing Committee Ngo Minh Tuan reported on the topic of introducing creative press works on Party building and the political system; new models, creative and effective methods in Party building work.

- Former Editor-in-Chief of Photography Magazine Pham Tien Dung and Head of Party Building Department, Nhan Dan Newspaper Phan Phuong Quyen reported on the topic of creative skills in photojournalism; shared experiences in creating works of authors and groups of authors who won high prizes at the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.
