(GLO)- On the morning of June 28, Mr. Tran Van Nhon - Chairman of the People's Committee of Kong Long Khong commune (Kbang district, Gia Lai province) confirmed that a drowning incident had just occurred in the commune, causing the death of a 5-year-old child.
Specifically, at around 3:00 p.m. yesterday, June 27, three children in Po Ngal village (Kong Long Khong commune) went to a stream behind the village to bathe. While bathing, unfortunately, D.TT (born in 2018) drowned; the other two children ran back to the village to call adults for help, but T. died.

Immediately after the incident, the People's Committee of Kong Long Khong commune sent the commune police force to the scene to gather information and record the incident.
The locality also sent departments, branches and organizations to help the family with the funeral arrangements for the child. Initially, the People's Committee of the commune supported 1 million VND, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune supported 500,000 VND, and the Women's Union of the commune supported 300,000 VND for the child's family.
