AL JAZEERA. Israel thwarted a Hezbollah plot to assassinate a former defense official.

BARRON'S. US tech giant Intel is adjusting its investment plans and will suspend factory construction projects in Poland and Germany for two years.

AFP. A strike by more than 30,000 workers has forced US giant Boeing to cut costs by suspending hiring and considering laying off employees.
