iPhone 15 pushes down prices of older generation iPhones

In early October 2023, the selling prices of genuine old iPhone models tended to decrease sharply. In particular, the phone model that is being interested in is the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with a significantly lower price compared to last month.

Referring to the AAR Di Dong Viet system, after the iPhone 15 series was opened for sale early in Vietnam, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max duo are being sold for 23.7 million VND (7.3 million VND less than the listed price) and 25.69 million VND (8.3 million VND less) respectively for the 128 GB version.

Or like Topzone also "regularly" has a program to open a limited sale of this product at the same price, but it quickly runs out of stock, proving that the appeal of this product has not "cooled down". On the e-commerce platform, old generations of iPhone are continuously included in many different discount programs.

However, this is not the deepest price reduction. The iPhone 14 Pro Max with 256 GB capacity is currently priced at VND 28.89 million, which is a reduction of VND 9.1 million compared to the listed price. This price is VND 6 million cheaper than the new iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The 256 GB iPhone 15 Plus has a reference price of nearly 28 million VND, with the same A16 Bionic chip, a lower screen size of about 800 - 900,000 VND, but is not as attractive, because the Pro Max is still Apple's top smartphone line with more "powerful" equipment, supporting more advanced features.

Many generations of iPhones released in previous years are adjusting prices for the year-end shopping season.

Meanwhile, in the mid-range segment, the iPhone 13 has had many price adjustments since its launch. Up to now, after the iPhone 15 series officially went on sale in Vietnam from September 29, this model has continued to decrease in price, currently at 15.79 million VND for the 128 GB version. Compared to the listed price, the iPhone 13 has decreased by more than 8 million VND.

The iPhone 11, which once topped the best-selling category at many AAR systems, has a reference price of VND 10.39 million for the 64 GB version, a VND 4.6 million reduction compared to the listed price. The 128 GB version is about VND 1.5 million higher (VND 5.1 million reduction compared to the listed price).

Although it has been launched for 4 years, the iPhone 11 is still one of Apple's smartphone models that is favored by many customers because of its attractive price, good performance and longer lifespan than Android competitors in the same segment.

According to Ms. Phung Phuong - representative of Mobile World Media, the iPhone 15 series was launched in Vietnam earlier than previous years, so many old iPhone models quickly reduced prices to clear inventory and create conditions for users with not-so-high incomes to easily access Apple products.

" That makes the sales of older generation iPhone lines such as 11, 13 and 14 series grow slightly by about 10% - 15% compared to before ," Ms. Phuong shared, and believes that the sales of these phone lines will continue to grow thanks to good prices and the increasing demand for year-end shopping.
