On May 22, the Vietnamese women's team gathered at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to begin the next training phase, aiming for the 2023 Women's World Cup finals in New Zealand and Australia next July.
Notably, striker Huynh Nhu is still present in this training session. Before that, the Lank Club striker returned home for nearly a month to join the Vietnamese women's team to attend the 32nd SEA Games.
The fact that Huynh Nhu continues to train with the Vietnamese women's team shows that Lank Club has created the best conditions for the striker born in 1991.
The plan of the Vietnam women's team from now until August 2023 is divided into 4 phases. Phase 1 from May 22 to June 4, the team will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
On June 5, the Vietnamese women's team began the second training phase in Germany with three friendly matches against Eintracht Frankfurt (June 10), Short Mainz (June 15) and the German women's team (June 24).
During this time, the Vietnamese women's team will also have a short trip to Poland and have a friendly match with U23 Poland on June 21.
After the above training trip, the Vietnamese women's team returned home and continued training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center before moving to New Zealand on July 5.
In this final stage, coach Mai Duc Chung and his students will have more than 10 days of training and friendly matches before officially entering the journey at the 2023 Women's World Cup finals.
