The year 2025 is of special importance, being the final year of implementing the 5-year socio -economic development plan 2021-2025, the starting year for the new phase plan, Van Don district is focusing on synchronously implementing solutions, striving to complete the set targets.

In 2024, most of the district's economic indicators will have a fairly good growth rate. In 2025, the district sets the target: Total state budget revenue in the area will reach 636.4 billion VND; total social investment capital will increase by 10% or more; the rate of trained workers will reach 87.5%; over 2,300 workers will have jobs; forest coverage rate will reach 41%...

Sticking to the goals and tasks identified for 2025, right from the beginning of the year, the district reviewed key tasks, programs and plans to direct departments, offices, communes and towns to focus on implementation with the determination to successfully carry out the tasks of 2025. Along with that, the district accelerated the progress of key projects and works, improved the efficiency of investment attraction; strictly managed and effectively used land, protected the environment; prepared all the best conditions to attract tourists. At the same time, promoted the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be clean and strong; did a good job of preparing and organizing party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; focused on arranging the organization of the political system in the direction of "streamlining - compact - strong - effective - efficient - effective"...

After the Lunar New Year holiday, the district's agencies and units immediately got to work. The one-stop-shop departments and the District Public Administration Center went into operation, serving well the transaction needs of people, organizations and businesses. The Center updated the administrative procedure settlement process on the province's public service page, signed input documents and attached additional documents, returned documents to the system via software, digitized the results of administrative procedure settlement and signed the settlement steps. From the beginning of February until now, the Center has received 1,406 dossiers, resolved 1,044 dossiers; of which 1,044 dossiers were resolved before and on time, and 1,012 dossiers were provided online public services.

In 2025, the revenue in the district managed by the Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To Tax Department will be 464 billion VND; of which 277 billion VND will be collected from land use fees, 187 billion VND from fees and charges. To achieve this goal, the District People's Committee has worked with agencies, units, communes and towns to review and promote revenue sources in the area; established an inter-sectoral working group to coordinate tax management in the district; collected and paid non-agricultural taxes. At the same time, the Tax Advisory Council has been strengthened, contributing to the good implementation of tax management, focusing on collecting revenue from land, ensuring progress right from the first months of the year.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tang, Deputy Head of the Tax Department, said: The Department coordinates with the departments, offices and units of the district to regularly and closely monitor the progress of budget collection; analyze and evaluate each source of revenue, specifically identify each revenue item and revenue field, to promptly advise and propose to the District People's Committee to direct the implementation of tasks, solutions and measures to increase state budget revenue, especially fees, land use fees and financial measures. At the same time, coordinate with the District Department of Culture and Information, related units to work specifically with each enterprise and tourism - service business unit; on that basis, develop a collection plan from the service industry to ensure closeness, accuracy and a suitable roadmap according to the reality of each stage.

In 2025, the district will implement 23 public investment projects (15 transitional projects, 3 newly started projects, 5 projects preparing for investment), with a total capital of over 336 billion VND. To ensure the progress of investment projects and disbursement of public investment capital, district leaders will closely work with relevant departments, offices and units to speed up the implementation of transitional projects; review investment portfolios to ensure they are consistent with the needs and development orientation of the district.

To attract investment, the district coordinated with the Van Don Economic Zone Management Board to publicize and deploy the planning project of the Cai Bau Island Mountainous Area, Van Don Economic Zone, which was approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
