Over the past years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Yen district has played a good role in gathering and mobilizing people to promote their mastery, respond to and participate in many emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to the successful implementation of local socio-economic development tasks.
Innovation in propaganda work
In order to promote the strength of national solidarity in the area, in recent times, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Tien Yen district has promoted its core role, promoted the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns with many rich and practical contents. In particular, it attaches special importance to propaganda and mobilization work with the motto "propaganda work must go first, go together and go after" and "go to every alley and knock on every door", attracting a large number of people to participate, respond, promptly provide and orient information to create unity within the Party and consensus in society.
The district Fatherland Front has combined propaganda with legal explanation, social supervision and criticism, and taken care of protecting the legitimate and legal rights of the people, thereby creating changes in awareness and action among the people. Notably, the district Fatherland Front has promoted its core political role, mobilized the strength of national solidarity in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic with the highest determination, effectively prevented the epidemic from spreading, maintained a safe area, and created a favorable environment for economic and social activities to maintain, develop, and adapt to each stage and requirement.
Propaganda and mobilization of people to agree to implement strategic plans and site clearance, in which many dynamic projects have high consensus of households, especially the Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway Project, the section passing through Tien Yen area, has mobilized people to agree to the policy of stopping some pilot models of concurrent holding.
In particular, the Fatherland Front at all district levels always promotes the role of village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people in propagating and mobilizing people to participate in building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, exploiting regional advantages to develop socio-economy, develop experiential tourism, community tourism, spiritual tourism, restore, preserve and promote unique traditional cultural values of ethnic regions. In addition, the Fatherland Front Committee maintains and improves the effectiveness of the "Community Page", Fanpage of the Fatherland Front of the district and grassroots, propaganda pages of member organizations, self-managed safety groups, self-managed inter-family groups to promptly propagate to the people. Over the past 5 years, over 10,000 propaganda news and articles have been shared.
Promote the effectiveness of movements
From the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, patriotic emulation movements have been widely deployed with many creative and practical ways, thereby mobilizing the strength of national solidarity, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality. Typically, in the work of social security and sustainable poverty reduction, the District Fatherland Front Committee has actively mobilized support and assistance for people to build "Great Solidarity Houses" and hygienic latrines. In particular, recently, storm No. 3 (Yagi) caused severe damage to people and property in communes in the district. The government and organizations, with the Fatherland Front Committee as the core, have called on benefactors to support the people. As of September 11, in addition to receiving support from the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee, units in the province and the entire district have received over 390 million VND and some other necessities from benefactors. At the same time, philanthropists gave money directly to 3 disadvantaged households to build new houses with a total amount of over 300 million VND.
Mr. Chiu Van Dung (Trang Tay village, Dong Hai commune) shared: The recent storm No. 3 blew off the roof of my house and caused severe damage. I am very happy to have received help and support from all levels, sectors, and benefactors, and my family has been able to build a new house that is in the process of completion. This is a great motivation for my family to stabilize our lives and develop our economy better.
Over the past 5 years (2019-2024), the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and organizations of Tien Yen district have mobilized a total of 5.1 billion VND to socialize with the district's political system to take care of and solve social security well, supporting 106 households with special difficulties in building new houses, repairing houses, 61 hygienic toilets; supporting 167 poor and near-poor households to escape poverty sustainably; mobilizing organizations, individuals, philanthropists, business units, and member organizations of the district Fatherland Front to give gifts of over 24,550 gifts, worth over 13,564 billion VND on the occasion of major holidays and Lunar New Year every year.
The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with the emulation movement "Quang Ninh joins hands to build new rural areas", building "civilized communes, wards and towns" and patriotic emulation movements have been implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and organizations in many creative ways, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system and the people, effectively promoting resources in society. Over the past 5 years, people in the district have donated over 160,000m2 land, contributed over 11,720 working days, 244,700m2 fences, construction materials worth over 75 billion VND. In addition, propaganda and mobilization of people in developing farm economy, a number of large-scale production models were formed. Tien Yen district was recognized by the Prime Minister as a new rural district in 2019 and an advanced new rural district in 2023.
The gratitude activities are coordinated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations to mobilize support from agencies, businesses, philanthropists and the people. In the past 5 years, the following support has been mobilized: Gratitude Fund of 225 million VND; Agent Orange/dioxin Victims Fund of nearly 300 million VND...
