What does the district say about recruiting 61 officials while streamlining?

On April 10, Ia Grai District People's Committee reported to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee regarding the recognition and approval of the results of the 2024 recruitment exam for 61 teachers and civil servants of Ia Grai district.

According to the People's Committee of Ia Grai district, the locality is currently short of 235 teachers at all levels. In 2024, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai agreed on the number of people working in the public service areas of Ia Grai district in 2024. On that basis, in November 2024, the People's Committee of Ia Grai district had a plan to recruit teachers and civil servants through examination.

Ia Grai District People's Committee said that the recruitment of 61 officials was due to the locality's shortage of teachers and had a recruitment plan in advance.

On March 6, 2025, the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training sent a document to the Ministry of Education and Training requesting guidance on whether to temporarily suspend recruitment of employees to work at public preschools and general education institutions according to the general policy or not, but so far there has been no response.

Ia Grai District People's Committee has revoked Decision No. 307/QD-UBND on recruitment.

To supplement the number of teachers lacking in the education sector of Gia Lai province in the 2025-2026 school year, the Department of Education and Training requested the Chairman of the People's Committee of La Grai district to direct the continued improvement of the teaching staff to ensure teaching work at schools in the 2025-2026 school year.

Based on the above bases, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy, Chairman of Ia Grai District People's Committee, signed and issued Decision No. 307/QD-UBND dated March 24, 2025 on recognizing and approving the results of the 2024 teacher recruitment exam of Ia Grai District (first time) for 61 cases.

According to the People's Committee of Ia Grai district, the current situation of the district's education sector is lacking 235 teachers. Teachers have to teach overtime, in places dozens of kilometers away from home, while the district budget has to pay for overtime due to not having enough teachers, accounting for the majority of the district's budget revenue...

After receiving instructions from the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Ngoc Quy, Chairman of the Ia Grai District People's Committee, signed a decision to revoke Decision No. 307/QD-UBND.
