On August 17, Krong Buk District Police said that the unit had just handled a case of posting false information about the 2023 durian crop season, causing public confusion.
Specifically, on August 14, the Interdisciplinary Team implemented Plan No. 1071/KH-DKTr CTT dated June 30, 2023 of the Ea H'leo - Krong Buk Regional Tax Department to combat tax losses in circulation, test administrative procedures, comply with tax laws, and collect tax arrears for organizations and individuals engaged in production and business in Krong Buk district in 2023 in Cu Pong commune. The Interdisciplinary Team inspected Ms. LTM's vehicle transporting durian in circulation in Cu Pong commune.

During the working process, Ms. M. used her phone to broadcast live on her Facebook account and made untrue statements, saying that the working group had "blocked the river and banned the market", not allowing outsiders to enter Krong Buk district to buy durian, protecting trading activities in the area.
After Ms. M.'s video was posted, it attracted thousands of comments; at the same time, it was used by cyberspace subjects and posted on groups with the purpose of defaming and insulting the authorities, creating negative public opinion towards the government.

On August 15, Krong Buk District Police invited Ms. LTM to the police investigation agency to clarify the posting of the video with false content.
At the investigation agency, the police officer of Krong Buk district informed Ms. M. about Plan No. 1071/KH-DKTr CTT dated June 30, 2023. The inspection of the vehicle by the Interdisciplinary Team was in accordance with the issued plan, in accordance with legal regulations and there was absolutely no prohibition on purchasing fruits and agricultural products in Krong Buk district as she posted on social networks.
During the working process, Ms. M. said that at that time, the Working Group had given instructions and explanations, but because she was upset about being inspected, she directly posted on her Facebook account with untrue content.
Krong Buk District Police officers analyzed and answered questions, and reminded Ms. M. of her violations. Thereby, Ms. M. realized that posting information with the above content was wrong, affecting the reputation of the government and public servants, affecting business and trading activities in the area as well as the security and order situation in the area. Ms. M. deleted related posts and videos and pledged not to repeat the offense.
For those who share or comment false information, the authorities of Krong Buk district will continue to investigate and clarify violations for handling according to the provisions of law.

Regarding the work of ensuring security and order for the 2023 durian harvest season, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tran Tuan, Head of Krong Buk District Police, said that the unit has focused on propagating and informing people and garden owners about methods and tricks related to security and order.
Krong Buk District Police have also conducted a review of subjects inside and outside the district who have shown signs of price gouging, protectionism, and law-making with businesses and durian purchasing facilities; established working groups in areas with a lot of durian growing or purchasing points, with forces on duty promptly to handle complicated situations.
