The singer from Nghe An said that when she first started singing, she felt disoriented. Although she told herself she was strong enough to face the negative opinions from the public, she "didn't anticipate the extent of what would happen."

The negative reactions of netizens about her appearance caused the female singer to have a mental breakdown and lose her self-confidence.

"I am 1.58m tall. Before, my weight was 52kg. The doctor said that I was of normal height and weight. I kept my mental life healthy until I saw comments saying that I looked very overweight on TV.

From then on, my weight gradually decreased to 50kg, then to 48kg. At that time, I felt that I could not sing as well as usual, and had no energy to work. When I weighed 48kg, I felt very slim but many people still said I was chubby," Huong Tram shared.

The female singer born in 1995 said that when she was a judge on the show The debut 2018 , she had the thinnest body of her career.

"At that time, I only weighed 43-45kg, my body was as thin as a piece of paper. On the days I went to perform, filmed the show until 2-3am when I got home, I felt like I had no strength left.

Before I went to America, people could see my arm was torn apart. I was constantly using sleeping pills. That was an image I was not proud of. Until one day I accepted that I was not okay. I had never seen myself so unattractive and haggard. I told myself to rest," the singer confided.

When asked if the wounds on her arms were Huong Tram's way of venting her anger and injustice, she replied: "Sometimes I'm angry at myself for not knowing how to refuse nameless tasks that I don't have enough time to do, and don't have time to get enough sleep.

I was very lonely, but in the end it was my fault. I had friends and family around me who were willing to listen, but I couldn't confide in anyone. So my loneliness kept growing and growing. I can't blame anyone."

Rumors that Huong Tram secretly gave birth in the US have severely affected her life (Photo: Facebook character).

During the program, Huong Tram also shared her mental difficulties when she was subjected to "cyber violence" for the second time with rumors of "secretly going to the US to give birth". The female singer said this was "a very strong blow to both her left and right cheeks, when she had no relatives or family by her side".

At first, Huong Tram wanted to keep quiet, but the false news continued to spread on social media. When the singer returned to Vietnam at the beginning of the year, after 5 years of studying abroad, the rumors continued to explode, at times going too far. Therefore, she decided to speak up, sending a complaint asking the investigating agency to investigate those who spread false information, slander, and insult the dignity and honor of her and her family.

Recalling the time when social networks "attacked" her relatives and family, Huong Tram felt guilty for making it difficult for her parents to have a normal life in their old age.

"The slanderous rumors about me made my parents think that it was wrong for their daughter to pursue an artistic career, making the family uncomfortable every time they went out. My parents lost sleep and wasted time explaining things that were not true. That is what makes me feel the most guilty," the singer confided.

Huong Tram said that during the time she was caught up in negative rumors, she texted her parents every day to reassure her family. Her parents were also her support to overcome the "storms" and stand firm in the face of all challenges in life.

Looking back at the difficult times, Huong Tram feels lucky and hopes that her sharing will spread the message of self-love and positivity to everyone.

Huong Tram was born in 1995, from Nghe An. She was born into an artistic family, her father is artist Tien Dung, her brother is singer Pham Tien Manh.

Huong Tram became known to the public after winning the first season of The Voice of Vietnam (2012). After more than 10 years of singing, the singer made her mark with songs such as Em gai mua, Ngoc, Duyen minh lo...

In early 2019, she held her first live show called Mailbox No. 1 in Hanoi. In May 2019, Huong Tram went to the US to study.

In April, the management company confirmed that the female singer had returned to Vietnam after 5 years of studying abroad and would have artistic activities to contribute to the audience at home.
