ANTD.VN - The transaction to sell more than 2.6 million shares of Mr. Dang Khac Vy's sister-in-law was canceled due to lack of information disclosure and reporting before the transaction.

Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) has just announced the removal of the transaction to sell shares of Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (stock code: VIB).

Specifically, based on the results of HOSE's supervision and the State Securities Commission's opinion on the handling of investors' transactions, HOSE announced the removal of the transaction of selling 2,610,349 VIB shares on October 31, 2024 by Ms. Le Thi Hue (a person related to Mr. Dang Khac Vy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIB). The reason is that the transaction was not disclosed and not reported before the transaction.

According to VIB's management report, Ms. Le Thi Hue is Mr. Le Khac Vy's sister-in-law. Mr. Dang Khac Vy is currently the largest individual shareholder at VIB with a 4.93% ownership ratio, equivalent to nearly 147 million shares. As of August 30, 2024, Ms. Le Thi Hue owns nearly 2.2 million VIB shares.

In addition, people related to Mr. Dang Khac Vy include his wife, Ms. Tran Thi Thao Hien, who owns more than 146 million shares; his son, Dang Quang Tuan, who owns nearly 146 million shares, and his brother-in-law, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh, who owns more than 3.7 million shares.

In another development, last week, VIB shares unexpectedly recorded a sudden transaction in the session of October 29 with a "huge" deal volume of more than 300 million shares.

On the same day, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), a shareholder owning 14.78% of VIB's capital, announced that it had sold about 10% of its shares through the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE). The transaction is expected to raise about AUD 320 million, equivalent to more than VND 5,300 billion.

Previously, in June, VIB's extraordinary general meeting of shareholders approved reducing the foreign ownership ratio from 20.5% to 4.99%, officially applied from July 1, 2024.
