BANGKOK POST. Thai police suspect a group of insurgents carried out a series of coordinated attacks in Tak Bai district, Narathiwa province in the south on the morning of October 21.
KYODO. Japanese authorities are warning people about the risk of encountering bears as the wild animals are actively searching for food during their hibernation period.

YONHAP. South Korea, the United States and Japan held their first-ever trilateral air exercise on the Korean Peninsula, involving B-52 strategic bombers and US fighter jets.
KOREA TIMES. During the visit of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to Saudi Arabia, contracts and memorandums of understanding worth 15.6 billion USD were signed between companies of the two countries.
CHINA DAILY. China and Russia signed about 20 agreements within the framework of the Russia-China energy business forum held on October 21 in Beijing.
Xinhua News Agency. From January 2018 to June 2023, Chinese police handled about 260,000 criminal cases related to acts of sabotage against resource and environmental conservation.
INDIAN EXPRESS. Hours after putting the plan on hold, India successfully launched an unmanned spacecraft on October 21, marking the first test of its manned space mission Gaganyaan.

PTI. India announced the transfer of 38.5 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Egypt's Sinai Peninsula to provide for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
AL JAZEERA. Israel will pay a heavy price if the Jewish state launches a ground offensive in the Gaza Strip, Deputy Leader Naim Qassem asserted, saying Hezbollah was “at the heart of the war”.
WAM. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed held a phone call with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.
REUTERS. The foreign ministers of Iran, Türkiye, Russia and Georgia met their counterparts from Azerbaijan and Armenia in Tehran on Tuesday and discussed progress towards a peace deal between the two neighbors.
TASS. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive in the Iranian capital Tehran today, October 23, for talks with his regional counterparts.

FRANCE 24. France plans to increase security at airports around Paris and on trains following a recent wave of false bomb scares, according to Transport Minister Clement Beaune.
AFP. Spain recorded more than 1,000 migrants arriving in the Canary Islands on October 21 alone, including a wooden boat carrying 320 people - a record number of people on a single boat.

CNN. October 22 was the final day of the joint anti-submarine exercise called Silent Shark between the US and South Korean navies off the US Pacific island of Guam.
CNBC. The US will deploy the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense ( THAAD ) missile defense system and additional Patriot air defense missile battalions to the Middle East, in response to attacks on US troops in the region.
AP. Argentine voters go to the polls to elect the country's leader for the 2023-2027 term, in the context of the country falling into the most serious economic crisis in two decades.
CBC. Canada announced the launch of "CAN Work Philippines" - a pilot program to issue work permits to Filipinos to work in the country.

CITIZEN DIGITAL. Kenya and Angola signed 11 memorandums of understanding in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, witnessed by Kenyan President William Ruto and his Angolan counterpart Joao Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.
UN. The last convoy of the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali (MINUSMA) leaves its camp in the town of Tessalit in the tense Kidal region.
UNICEF. Nearly 7.6 million children in Ethiopia are out of school due to the impact of natural and man-made disasters, according to an updated report by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
AP. At least six people, including four Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers, were killed and several others injured in a suicide bombing near Somalia's capital Mogadishu.
ASHARQ AL AWSAT. Tunisia and Italy sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to better manage the flow of legal immigration from Tunisia to Italy.
