Vietnam - Cuba develop relations in the judicial field

Reviewing the special milestones marking the loyal, steadfast solidarity and affection between the two peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, Mr. Tran Van Chien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, said that right after the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam was established, the Republic of Cuba was the first and only country to send an Ambassador and present its credentials to the Government on March 4, 1969. The residence and workplace of Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba Raul Valdes Vivo is located at the historical site of the Provisional Revolutionary Government Base of the Republic of South Vietnam in Tay Ninh province. Currently, the Ambassador's Memorial House has been restored to the exact location of the Cuban Embassy 55 years ago and still preserves the memorabilia here.

Mr. Tran Van Chien hopes that in the coming time, to further strengthen the special relationship between the two countries in general, between Tay Ninh province and the Cuban Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City in particular, the Cuban Consulate General will continue to coordinate and support the province in areas where Cuba has strengths such as: Pharmaceutical technology, training of medical human resources, community health care, etc. In addition, Tay Ninh also hopes to promote cultural exchange and communication between the young generation to sustainably maintain the good traditional brotherly relationship between the two countries.

Ms. Ariadne Feo Labra also affirmed her commitment to continue promoting the special friendship between the two nations.

Connecting universities; organizing Cuban youth groups to Vietnam for a 1-2 week summer vacation in local homes; organizing competitions to learn about the two countries among young people; inviting ambassadors and speakers to exchange and talk with young people... are activities to strengthen the education of the two countries' young generations that will be implemented in 2024 by the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association.
