More than 88% of voters in Tien Son commune do not agree with the project to merge Tien Son and Tien Cam communes.

Accordingly, 2,522/2,514 voters of Tien Son commune registered to collect voters' opinions by household (rate 99.68%).

As a result, in addition to 36 invalid votes, 248 voters agreed (accounting for 9.83%) and 2,230 voters disagreed (accounting for 88.42%) with the content of the project to merge commune-level administrative units in the district in the period of 2023 - 2025.

Tien Phuoc District People's Committee said that through synthesizing voters' opinions, 646 voters had different opinions on the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units in Tien Phuoc district for the period 2023-2025.

Specifically, there were 29 voters who disagreed with the merger proposal, 232 voters who disagreed with the headquarters being located in 2 locations (Tien Cam, Tien Son), and 333 voters who disagreed with the headquarters being located in Tien Cam commune. There were 48 voters who suggested the headquarters be located in Tien Son and 4 voters who suggested the headquarters be moved to the center of the 2 communes.

Regarding the results of the consultation of Tien Cam commune voters on the content of the merger project, Tien Phuoc District People's Committee said that there were 2,088 voters out of 2,088 voters who gave their opinions (reaching 100%). As a result, in addition to 54 invalid votes, there were 1,969 voters who agreed (accounting for 94.3%), 116 voters who disagreed (accounting for 5.56%) with the content of the merger project of Tien Son and Tien Cam communes.

According to the project of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee, the natural area and population size of Tien Cam commune and Tien Son commune will be merged to establish a new administrative unit, expected to be named Tien Son commune.

After the merger, the locality will use the headquarters of Tien Son and Tien Cam communes as workplaces. The district will conduct surveys and research on suitable headquarters, ensuring compliance with regulations on headquarters placement and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.
