With all their love, passion and desire to establish themselves and their careers in their homeland, many young people from Thanh Hoa have raised their will and enthusiasm, boldly investing in tourism development with the desire to contribute their efforts to build and spread the "four-season fragrance" of Thanh Hoa on the Vietnamese tourism map.

Sowing Tourists take souvenir photos next to the beautiful, gentle and pure daisy flowers at Tien Son Cave (Ham Rong Ward, Thanh Hoa City).

1. When the cold winds blow, signaling the coming of winter, it is also the time when Tien Son Cave (Ham Rong Ward, Thanh Hoa City) blooms with a myriad of flowers. A natural landscape that is both wild and wild and full of flowers has created beauty and appeal, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and experience. Every weekend, the number of visitors to Tien Son Cave is so large that the owner is willing to transfer them to work as a gatekeeper and ticket collector. When visitors come for the first time, looking at the young man standing right at the gate, wearing a hat and holding a loudspeaker, rushing in and out, no one would think that he is the CEO of the company. But when having the opportunity to listen to the journey of Mr. Cao Thanh Nam, Director of Tien Son Cave Tourism Branch (Kim Quy Tourism Joint Stock Company), who has devoted all his heart and enthusiasm to building and developing tourism at Tien Son Cave, then they understand the ideal, passion and concern for the job.

Since about 15 years ago, Mr. Nam has always been wondering how to innovate business activities and exploit tourism to thereby enhance the attraction, creating values worthy of the potential and advantages of Tien Son cave area. Having been professionally trained in tourism management, being quick to respond to current events and "new things", and having the opportunity to experience many famous tourist areas in the country at that time such as: Saigon, Vung Tau, Da Lat, Nha Trang... Mr. Nam realized that the appropriate direction, the very potential market is to create a film studio model with many miniatures, beautiful and unique check-in points, in harmony with the inherent natural scenery to serve tourists, photo studios to visit, take souvenir photos, wedding photos with a cost of only 20 - 50 thousand VND.

The idea was there, but how to effectively realize it was not easy, full of difficulties and challenges. Not in a hurry or subjectively, Mr. Nam invested a lot of time, effort and money, traveling around the northern provinces to learn, gain knowledge and experience in implementing the model. The day he decided to replace the old fruit trees and miniature landscapes to focus on cultivating flower varieties, serving the concept (idea), creating a check-in point, Mr. Nam felt like he saw a land of thousands of flowers blooming and spreading fragrance in his heart.

After being leased land by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nam invested in developing synchronous facilities and infrastructure, learning from the experience of fresh flower growing units, collaborating with units distributing plant varieties, fertilizers, etc. to grow fresh flowers at Tien Son Cave Tourist Area. Mr. Nam smiled happily: "I spent a lot of time and effort studying tourism management, but life pushed me and my passion led me to become a flower farmer without me knowing it." Initially, Mr. Nam experimented with growing flowers in rows. Mr. Nam said: "Flowers grow and develop very well, but they depend a lot on the season. When the season is over, we have to uproot them and plant other types of flowers instead, and there is no other way but to wait for the plants to grow and develop before they can flower. Visitors coming at this time will feel disappointed, creating a bad impression of the tourist area."

Not backing down from difficulties, with a dynamic and creative spirit, Mr. Nam tried to research and experiment with many methods, then chose the method of growing flowers in nursery pots to replicate. Mr. Nam added: "Although the cost and effort to apply this model is 4 times higher than growing flowers in beds, it overcomes the seasonal disadvantages, ensuring that visitors to Tien Son Cave these days are flooded with flowers."

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Nam has pursued and nurtured his passion, successfully building an area filled with flowers in the heart of the city, bringing Tien Son Cave to an increasingly high position on the province's tourism map. In recent years, Tien Son Cave Tourist Area is not only a destination for visiting scenic spots and relics, but also a space for growing fresh flowers combined with concepts close to nature, bringing many interesting experiences to tourists. Mr. Nam will continue to learn and experiment with planting more new types of flowers to make this place more colorful, more fragrant, and enhance the experience for visitors. Mr. Nam's professional perspective remains steadfast: "Never be complacent with what you have achieved because people's needs are constantly changing and getting higher. The most important thing for people working in tourism is to always learn to grasp the tastes of customers in the near future and keep up with trends." Mr. Nam always keeps in mind one thing: "In general, doing services, tourism in particular, if we can satisfy the most demanding customers, we will satisfy all of their friends". The number of tourists coming to the tourist area is estimated at thousands of visitors per year and tends to increase over the years, which is the most vivid and convincing proof.

2. Every time I mention Anh Duong Farm, I remember the rustic, pure beauty that is no less new and attractive of the Australian water lilies that change color. This is a beautiful large-blooming flower variety with many large purple petals arranged evenly and beautifully. In particular, the flower has the ability to change color, which increases its attractiveness and mystery. Mr. Dat - the owner of Anh Duong Farm excitedly said: "The farm is focusing on planting and arranging miniature landscapes to organize a large-scale flower festival on an area of 2 hectares to serve tourists to enjoy spring and welcome the Lunar New Year 2025. The event is expected to start from December 25, 2024 to February 12, 2025.

In order for visitors to capture beautiful memories and happy spring days, celebrating Tet with family and friends, this year, the farm will organize a large-scale event with many different types of flowers. This spring, visitors to Anh Duong Farm will be satisfied with the myriad of colorful flowers, each flower and miniature landscape has its own appeal. These are wheat fields with seeds from faraway Russia; Australian lotus ponds changing color, lotus varieties brought from Thailand; white and yellow mustard flower fields; chrysanthemums (daisy, purple aster...), sunflowers shining in the winter sky... Visitors can freely check-in with the colors of flowers reminiscent of the poetic land of Da Lat (thuy diep flowers, xanthium flowers); admire the beauty of old roses, luxurious and noble orchid trellis... In addition, the farm designs many miniature landscapes for visitors to have the most impressive frames and films: Windmills, Wisteria flower roads...

Visitors to the farm, in addition to the beautiful flower fields, can also experience picking their own produce grown here such as: Palermo peppers, cherry tomatoes, gourds, squash, grapefruits... After admiring the brilliant beauty of the flowers, picking and enjoying many kinds of fruit, visitors can experience water ball games on the lake, playing with thousands of Koi fish like friends... The farm is expected to attract 13,000 - 15,000 visitors during the spring and New Year celebrations this year. Mr. Dat's sharing is like a sincere invitation for visitors to Anh Duong Farm this festival season.

"To organize an event that gathers so many flowers is quite a feat and requires a lot of investment, isn't it?" - we asked the owner of Anh Duong Farm. Mr. Dat smiled gently: "For those of us who work in agricultural tourism, no matter how many difficulties and hardships we are determined to overcome, no matter how difficult the capital is, we will find a way to solve it, but the most difficult thing is still the mechanism and policy". Mr. Dat is a person with a passion and attachment to agriculture and his homeland. Therefore, after many years away from home, Mr. Dat determined to put aside his job with an impressive salary, return to his hometown Yen Dinh to build an agricultural tourism model.

After many hardships, difficulties and challenges, Mr. Dat is still steadfast in the path he has chosen. Mr. Dat confided: “The biggest difficulty and obstacle for us at present is the procedures for converting agricultural land. If we can resolve these difficulties and obstacles, we will have more motivation and determination to invest in developing the farm in a larger, more professional, beautiful form, and with a much more diverse range of services. Currently, we really want to be able to invest in implementing a farm tourism model associated with OCOP products. However, the barrier of land procedures makes it impossible for us to do anything else.

If you are still wondering: "What is there to do in Thanh Hoa this winter?" then the historical - cultural - spiritual relics, farms, destinations filled with flowers, beautiful natural scenery, many impressive photo concepts or community tourism areas, craft village tourism... are opening their warmest welcome. There are always enthusiastic young people there, making efforts to sow "flower seasons" to beautify the "field" of Thanh Hoa tourism.
