More than 800 athletes compete in the Marathon "Ky Son Win Vietnam Moutain 2024"

On the morning of February 18, the "Ky Son Win Vietnam Moutain 2024" Marathon ended with awards given to outstanding athletes.

The “Ky Son Win Vietnam Moutain 2024” Marathon (also known as the 2024 Western Nghe An Marathon “Going to the mountainous region - conquering Puxailaileng peak, the roof of the Truong Son range”) is a district-level sports tournament, attracting more than 800 athletes from provinces and cities in the country, along with 2 athletes from Colombia and Laos.

Among them are many professional athletes, famous names in the Vietnamese running community such as Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai - Former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, singer Duc Tuan, athletes Nguyen Thanh Phuc, Nguyen Van Long...

Ms. Vi Thi Quyen, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district, said that despite the very short preparation time, the "Ky Son Win Vietnam Moutain 2024" Marathon attracted more than 800 athletes from all over the country, including 13 provinces and cities.

“With enthusiasm, passion and love for the homeland, many athletes have overcome a long journey, setting foot for the first time in Ky Son, the northernmost point of Nghe An to participate in the race, kicking off a meaningful new year,” said a representative of the district People's Committee.

Through the organization of the tournament, sponsors, organizers, and athletes gave many meaningful gifts to poor households and households in difficult circumstances to share, connect love, encourage people to rise up in life..., leaving beautiful and impressive images in the people.

The "Ky Son Win Vietnam Moutain 2024" Marathon has contributed to building a rich and diverse cultural and spiritual life; helping to promote the potential and traditional culture of the land and people of Ky Son to the domestic and international community.

The “Ky Son Win Vietnam Moutain 2024” Marathon opened on the evening of February 17; the race officially started at 5:30 a.m. on February 18 at distances of 42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 5 km, starting from the gate of Ky Son High School via National Highway 7 and Provincial Road 542.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the First, Second, and Third prizes to outstanding male and female athletes in the 5km, 10km, and 2km distances; and awarded the First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth prizes to male and female athletes in the 42km distance.
