In the report, Mr. Urs Hofman - a former member of the Swiss House of Representatives - assessed that Bern's system of supporting Ukrainian refugees is working effectively, but this problem can still develop further in the future.
According to the report, the main sectors where Ukrainian refugees are employed are in the hospitality industry, information technology, accounting andeducation .
Newly updated figures show that this group has an average monthly salary of around 4,700 Francs ($5,215) and no cases of wage dumping have been recorded.
However, the employment rate of Ukrainians in different regions of Switzerland still varies.
In the past, the Swiss government implemented the “S-level protection” status to deal with the influx of refugees from the conflict in the Balkans. This mechanism allows for the rapid processing of asylum applications by foreigners.
Last March, the Swiss cabinet granted the above status to Ukrainian refugees.
