On the morning of October 17, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, the Organizing Committee of the 14th People's Public Security (CAND) Television and Radio Festival in 2024 held a press conference to introduce the Festival and provide related content.

The CAND Television and Radio Festival is a traditional activity of CAND television and radio workers, organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with Vietnam Television every two years in many localities across the country. The CAND Communications Department is the permanent organizer of the Festival and Khanh Hoa Provincial Police is the host of the 14th Festival.
At the 14th edition, the Festival will have the theme “Transformation - Creativity - Breakthrough”, taking place from October 17-23 in Khanh Hoa province. The opening ceremony of the Festival will be solemnly held at 8:00 p.m. on October 20; the closing ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on October 23 at the Do Theater, Nha Trang City and will be broadcast live on CAND Television Channel (ANTV) and Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station.
After 13 editions, the Festival is not only a competition for press works, but also a place to exchange knowledge and experience of the propaganda staff of the People's Public Security Forces in general and those working in television and radio inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces in particular, contributing to effectively serving the propaganda work on protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety of the Public Security Forces.

Speaking at the press conference, Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of Department X04, Director of CAND Television, said: The 14th CAND Television and Radio Festival is a gathering place for nearly 600 delegates who are officers, soldiers, reporters, editors, and program hosts inside and outside the CAND force from 75 delegations of the Public Security of units, localities and press and media agencies outside the CAND.
This festival will include many contest contents such as: Press works on the topic of security and order; Art works and specialized programs; Security and order column broadcast on local radio and television; Broadcaster, MC and radio genre works on the topic of security and order; Digital platform video works; Radio works; Cinema works.
“The Organizing Committee will select the best works to award three categories: Gold Prize, Silver Prize and Certificate of Merit. Up to now, the Organizing Committee has received more than 760 entries from delegations participating in the Festival. This is the festival with the largest number of entries, surpassing previous festivals,” Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan informed.

Major General Do Trieu Phong - Director of the Public Security Communications Department - Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the Festival's Jury is made up of experienced and highly reputable journalists and artists. Up to now, the festival has been carefully and methodically prepared, promising to be successful with many official activities, sideline activities, professional exchange activities, and outdoor activities.
Within the framework of the 14th CAND Radio and Television Festival, the Organizing Committee also carried out many meaningful activities such as: Incense offering ceremony at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Site (Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province); Photo exhibition of the CAND press force through 13 festivals; Organizing training courses on radio, television and cinema journalism for reporters, editors and propaganda officers of the Public Security of units and localities. Especially the Workshop program "Reality of content production on digital platforms"; and the practical exchange and gift-giving program at Brigade 162 and the Naval Command of Region 4./.
