The Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 has successfully concluded after 5 days of organization (from July 12-16). The program attracted more than 50,000 visitors and opened up prospects for building a unique cultural and tourism brand of the Capital.

The program was held for the first time at Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space (Tay Ho District, Hanoi) with many cultural, artistic and commercial activities for residents and tourists. During the program, many OCOP products associated with the culture of the Northern mountainous provinces in 2024 were introduced to tourists.

According to the Tay Ho District People's Committee, the program attracted more than 50,000 people of the capital and visitors to visit, shop and participate in festival activities. The revenue of the units participating in the festival and the total value of contracts, memorandums of understanding to commit to purchasing and consuming OCOP products and products from lotus and tea reached more than 11 billion VND, of which direct sales revenue during the event days was about over 6 billion VND.
In addition to the impressive opening ceremony with the highlight of the live show “The Story of Lotus”, the Festival also has many attractive activities, such as: Lotus installation art exhibition introducing unique works of art inspired by lotus; photo contest “Ao Dai and Lotus Beauty”; Green Journey cycling festival “West Lake Lotus Color” with a record number of participants of 7,000 people cycling around West Lake.

The organizers also arranged many lotus pots of different species along Trinh Cong Son walking street. In addition, the exhibition space introducing OCOP products with cultural products of the northern mountainous provinces made from lotus became an attraction during the festival days.
Visitors can also visit many booths introducing lotus tea products, the unique art of making and enjoying lotus tea of Hanoi people that have great appeal, such as: Booth introducing the quintessence of Vietnamese tea by artisan Nguyen Cao Son, booths introducing products and enjoying lotus tea by many artisans.

According to the People's Committee of Tay Ho District, the Hanoi Lotus Festival is a practical activity towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), concretizing the Program 04-Ctr/TU of the City Party Committee on "Promoting the effective implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy, improving the material and spiritual life of farmers in the period 2021-2025; Program No. 06-Ctr/TU on "Cultural development, improving the quality of human resources, building elegant and civilized Hanoians in the period of 2021-2025" and Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU on "Developing cultural industry in the capital for the period of 2021-2025, orientation to 2030, vision to 2045" of the Hanoi Party Committee".
