Over 400 million VND to support disadvantaged students in border areas

On the afternoon of October 13, Hong Van Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Thua Thien Hue province) organized a ceremony to present support to students in the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school" in 2023.

Implementing the Project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school" in the 2022 - 2023 school year, Hong Van Border Guard Station has screened and selected 58 students with especially difficult circumstances in 3 communes: Hong Van, Hong Thuy, Trung Son (A Luoi district).

To encourage and motivate students to start the new school year, Hong Van Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities and schools in 3 communes to organize the awarding of financial support and school supplies to 58 disadvantaged students supported in the Project with a total value of more than 429 million VND from the support source of the Project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school".

This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the care and support of the Army officers and soldiers in general and the Border Guard force in particular to help ethnic minority and mountainous students with difficult circumstances have more conditions to go to school, overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.

Mr. Le Van Khuych, Vice Chairman of Trung Son Commune People's Committee, A Luoi District, said: In the recent past, Hong Van Border Guard Station has carried out many meaningful activities to support students in difficult circumstances such as: "Helping children go to school" program, "Border Guard Station's adopted children" model, giving many gifts, books, and school supplies to students...

Thereby, contributing to the Party Committees and local authorities of border communes to improve people's knowledge, develop socio-economy, and successfully implement the National target of socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2021-2025.
