More than 344 billion VND in loans for production development, creating livelihoods and jobs for policy beneficiaries

Implementing social policy credit for production development, creating livelihoods, jobs and meeting essential needs in the lives of the poor and other policy subjects, the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch has proactively and actively implemented preferential credit support programs and social security.

In the first 3 months of 2024, loan turnover reached 344.2 billion VND. Of which, preferential loans for poor households were 67.3 billion VND with 905 customers; loans for students were nearly 14 billion VND (646 customers); job creation was 30.8 billion VND (509 customers); newly escaped poverty households were 30.2 billion VND (314 customers); near-poor households were 65.4 billion VND (811 customers); production and business households in difficult areas were 51.8 billion VND (729 customers); social housing loans were 43.9 billion VND (01 project); debt repayment period was restructured for 78 customers (outstanding debt was 58 billion VND).

The timely support of social policy credit has created conditions for poor households and social policy beneficiaries to create livelihoods, jobs, stabilize their lives, and substantially reduce poverty. In addition, social policy credit also creates conditions to help reduce multidimensional poverty, inclusively, sustainably, limit re-poverty and new poverty; support the poor and poor households to overcome the minimum living standard, access basic social services according to the national multidimensional poverty standard. At the same time, it creates confidence to promote investment and business needs, and improve labor productivity in rural, remote and isolated areas.
