More than 330 million USD of FDI capital poured into Quang Ninh

On the afternoon of February 21, the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Management Board granted investment certificates to two foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, with a total investment of more than 330 million USD.

A corner of Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park (Quang Ninh)

In particular, the Gokin Solar Hai Ha Vietnam monocrystalline silicon panel and photovoltaic monocrystalline silicon bar project in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park (Hai Ha District). The project has a total investment of 275 million USD, with a design capacity of nearly 1.4 billion products/year. The investor is Gokin Solar Company (Hong Kong - China). The project is expected to complete infrastructure investment items and come into operation in October 2025.

Project for manufacturing bearings and linear motion equipment in Song Khoai Industrial Park (Amata), Quang Yen Town, invested by IKO Thompson Vietnam Co., Ltd. The project has a designed capacity of 930 tons of products/year; total investment of 57 million USD and phase 1 of the project is expected to come into operation in January 2026.

Thus, since the beginning of 2024, industrial parks in Quang Ninh province have attracted 8 FDI projects with a total capital of 478 million USD. It is expected that in the first quarter of 2024, the total FDI capital attracted to industrial parks will reach about 1 billion USD. In 2024, Quang Ninh strives to attract at least 3 billion USD of FDI capital to industrial parks in the area.
