The Cultural-Culinary Festival "Taste of the Sunny Flower Land" is an important highlight of the first Peace Festival 2024 in Vietnam, to honor the diversity and uniqueness of Vietnamese cuisine in general and Quang Tri cuisine in particular.
This is an opportunity to promote the image of a modern, dynamic, youthful Quang Tri on the basis of quintessential tradition in the contemporary flow. This is also a bridge of convergence, crystallization of Vietnamese cultural identity, aiming to contribute to making Vietnam become the leading culinary tourism destination in the region.

At this festival space, along with localities across the country, Quang Tri introduces to friends culinary cultures imbued with local identity such as: nem cha cho Sai, bun hen Mai Xa, ga Cua, Gio An pork tray, Hai Lang porridge, Cua Viet seafood, dishes of ethnic minorities Van Kieu, Ta Oi, vegetarian dishes, OCOP products.
The special highlight of the festival is the grand and colorful opening art program; the display of dishes by the people, Quang Tri culinary experts and culinary artisans from all over the country.
Along with that is a unique kite exchange performance between domestic and international kite art clubs. According to the assessment of experts from the Kite Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, this is the largest kite performance activity in Vietnam to date, converging 3 regions and reaching international standards.
On this occasion, the Center also proposed that Quang Tri province, based on the ideal natural conditions of the beautiful coastline, should study and organize kite performances to become an annual activity and soon become a special tourism product of the locality.
According to the Organizing Committee, there were about 32,000 people attending the festival. The festival was a great success, an opportunity for Quang Tri province, provinces and cities across the country to promote and introduce unique culinary cultural values to friends and tourists at home and abroad, enhancing the position, image, country and people of Vietnam.
