Today, August 17, in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Newspaper organized the 11th Conference of Party Newspapers of provinces and cities in the Central Highlands - Central region, round IV (expanded) in 2024 with the theme: "Press propaganda promotes green transformation".
| The workshop was attended by more than 250 delegates from 19 press agencies in the Central Highlands region including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Nong and representatives of 21 domestic press agencies. In her opening remarks at the workshop, Lam Dong Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ho Thi Lan emphasized that green transformation is one of the important contents identified by our Party and State in the process of building and developing the country. An important factor to promote green transformation in Vietnam is the demonstration of responsibility and participation of the entire political system, agencies, units, businesses and the entire community, including the press.
Under the leadership of the Party, with its functions and tasks, the Vietnamese revolutionary press in general and local Party newspapers in particular have clearly demonstrated their mettle on the information and propaganda front; encouraged and spread the motivation to promote green transformation, actively contributing to changing the awareness, actions and consensus of society on this issue.

This workshop is also an opportunity for Party newspapers of provinces and cities in the region to exchange practical experiences; advantages, difficulties and solutions to propagate the National Strategy on Green Transformation towards a green environment and sustainable development.
Speaking at the workshop, Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thai Hoc said that green transformation is not a new issue but is a topical issue in today's society. This workshop is very meaningful, not only for Party press agencies in the Central Highlands region but also for domestic press agencies. Delegates from press agencies need to think, exchange, and learn from each other's experiences on how to propagate so that each person and each family has the right perception of green transformation, thereby changing their thinking and taking positive and drastic actions in implementing green transformation.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the concerns about professional and technical training to improve the effectiveness and quality of press works promoting green transformation; how to organize and propagate to convey this content into real life; experiences and good practices in the process of implementing propaganda to promote green transformation associated with digital transformation of the press to build Party press agencies in the region in a professional, humane and modern direction.
19 presentations by press agencies in the Central Highlands region discussing the topic “Press propaganda to promote green transformation” all affirmed that this is a good topic, close to the practical propaganda work of the press. The presentations highlighted the role of the press in general, and of local Party newspapers in particular, in contributing to changing thinking, transforming awareness, and taking specific actions in the community to join hands to promote green transformation in a sustainable manner.
Some outstanding issues mentioned in the presentations include: The press leads and encourages green transformation; Green transformation is an inevitable trend; The press promotes green transformation in the face of clear climate change trends; Propaganda promotes green transformation in local agriculture; The role of the press in green transformation; Multimedia applications in promoting green transformation...

The presentation of Quang Tri Newspaper emphasized that in recent years, Quang Tri Newspaper has promoted propaganda work on green transformation, green economy, green growth. Thanks to that, the awareness of the people and the community about the role and significance of green transformation, green economy, green growth has been significantly raised, gradually changing production and living behaviors and taking many practical actions to contribute to the implementation of this important transformation process. Carrying out propaganda in this field, Quang Tri Newspaper focuses on two main areas: agriculture and energy projects.
In the coming time, Quang Tri Newspaper will continue to closely follow the directions of the central and local governments to promote propaganda on green transformation, green economy, and green growth. In the field of energy, the newspaper will continue to promote the direction that Quang Tri province prioritizes energy development associated with ecological environment protection; exploits and effectively uses renewable energy sources, new energy, clean energy and other energy sources, especially wind energy.
Focus on applying the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in development, especially digital transformation in all sectors and energy fields; use energy economically, efficiently, and protect the environment. Focus on promoting propaganda to raise awareness of Party committees, authorities, cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life about the importance and necessity of green transformation and green growth for the cause of promoting socio-economic development of the province.

Within the framework of the workshop, delegates from the Party press agencies in the Central Highlands region presented gratitude houses to the families of Mr. Kra Jan Ha Chieng and Ms. K'Lieng Mi La in Village 3, Da Sar Commune, Lac Duong District. Lam Dong Newspaper coordinated with Lac Duong District to award scholarships to 35 poor students who have overcome difficulties, worth 1 million VND/scholarship.
