After 1 week of launching, An Giang province has received donations from organizations and individuals with the amount of money and goods in cash of over 223 billion VND. Of which, 100 billion was allocated by the Central Government from the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group.
On December 4, An Giang province organized the launching ceremony of Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund in 2024 and the "Spring Tree" for Tet At Ty in 2025.
The launching ceremony aims to mobilize resources, join hands to care for the poor, social security work, contributing to the sustainable socio -economic development of the province.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Mung - Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee said that the whole province of An Giang still has about 4,346 households living in temporary houses, dilapidated houses that need to be repaired and rebuilt in 2025. Besides, over 24,313 poor and near-poor households need attention and support during the upcoming traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to focus on leadership and direction to mobilize resources from the state, society, businesses and the entire population to successfully implement the set goals. Continue to carefully review the entire province, with the requirement of "3 no's" (no wrong subjects; no missing subjects; no petitions and complaints during and after the program implementation process).
Mr. Ho Van Mung called on agencies, organizations, religions, businesses, benefactors and all people in the province as well as An Giang people living far from their homeland to join hands and turn towards their homeland to support about 4,346 households living in temporary houses and dilapidated houses that need to be repaired and rebuilt in 2025.
In addition, the Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested all levels, sectors, business organizations and philanthropists to pay utmost attention and support so that all difficult circumstances are taken care of, helping people celebrate a warm and loving Tet, full of the meaning of humanity in accordance with the spirit of "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind". Requesting the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and localities to do a good job of receiving, managing and operating, guiding the use of mobilized funds in accordance with regulations; publicizing and making transparent all revenues and expenditures; ensuring the use of funds for the right purposes, objects, practically and effectively. Absolutely do not let any violations, waste and negativity occur.

Of which, 100 billion was allocated by the Central Government from the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group.
